The joy that the Holy Spirit gives

God has directed to the Holy Spirit. It is an awesome experience to know the Holy Spirit, know that we have received its love, direction, protection; but I must tell you, its even more awesome to search for intimicay with GOD, which I have come to realize, I cannot do without the help of the Holy Spirit. Rom 14:17 God's kingdom does not consist of what a person eats or drinks. Rather, God's kingdom consists of God's approval and peace, as well as the joy that the Holy Spirit gives.
1Co 3:16-23 GW
(16) Don't you know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you?
(17) If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him because God's temple is holy. You are that holy temple!

It is my prayer that you exprience the Holy Spirit in abundance, that you use your most holy faith to grow (and) Pray with the Holy Spirit's help Jud 1:20. "May God, the source of hope, fill you with joy and peace through your faith in him. "Then you will overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit" Rom 15:13

Have a Blessed wekend

What are the basics of Christianity? #3

This is a view on the third principle according to the 5 basic Principles of Our Relationship with GOD.

To date then
#1 "Our knowledge and ownership of eternal life. (1Jn 5:11-13 GW)

We do not have to feel, or think, or hope that we have internal life. We know it is based on this fact; 1Jn 5:12 The person who has the Son has this life. The person who doesn't have the Son of God doesn't have this life.

#2 We must know that our sins are forgiven (1Jn 1:9 KJV)

We do not have to feel forgiven, we are forgive, based on Gods promise; 1Jn 1:9 God is faithful and reliable. If we confess our sins, he forgives them and cleanses us from everything we've done wrong. We are already forgiven and our confession is to experience it. Confession is a pre-requisite for receiving cleansing and to restore our fellowship with God.

#3 Today's teaching: Be filled with the Holy Spirit;

The Holy Spirit dwells in all Believers, but no Believer is filled (controlled and overpowered) by the Holy Spirit. A Believer cannot be filled i,e, controlled by the Holy Spirit AND at the same time be controlled by sin (anger, worry, fear, resentment etc.)

To be filled by Holy Spirit, means acknowledging and confessing all known sins, to surrender control of yourself to Christ and to trust GOD in what He has promised.

We can then trust the Holy Spirit to fill us in response to God's Command and Promise;

God's Command is a promise to answer your request, which is according to His will;Eph 5:18 Don't get drunk on wine, which leads to wild living. Instead, be filled with the Spirit

God's Promise is to hear whatever we ask for; 1Jn 5:14-15 GW (14) We are confident that God listens to us if we ask for anything that has his approval. (15) We know that he listens to our requests. So we know that we already have what we ask him for.

During this last week or two, The Holy Spirit has directed me to acknowledge that I can only have a righteous relationship with GOD if I have a clear conscience when seeking his presence 1Jn 3:21 Dear friends, if our conscience doesn't condemn us, we can boldly look to God (stand right before God).

Likewise I know the things I know as the things freely given to my by GOD which is given by the Holy Spirit. 1Co 2:11 After all, who knows everything about a person except that person's own spirit? In the same way, no one has known everything about God except God's Spirit. 1Co 2:12 Now, we didn't receive the spirit that belongs to the world. Instead, we received the Spirit who comes from God so that we could know the things which God has freely given us.

I pray, Holy Spirit, fill us with the mind of Christ every minute of any day, make us aware of God's presence. Lord God, make us obedient to your will, fill us with the knowledge and wisdom to be spiritually aware, spiritually discerned in searching your presence. In Jesus name we pray this. Amen

Have a blessed weekend

Unforgivable sin

I believe accoding to the promises of the bible that we are forgiven all our sins; 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." But there is an instance of a sin that Jesus has said to be unforgiven; Mark 3:29 - But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; he is guilty of an eternal sin.

So what constitutes blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, the eternal sin that can never be forgiven?

Definition: Blasphemy is the act of showing contempt, insulting, or expressing a lack of reverence (respect) for God; the act of claiming the attributes of deity (God); defiant irreverence (disrespect / mockery) toward something considered sacred.

Some views that I have extracted;

The Life Application Study Bible commentary on Mark 3:28-29 has this to say, "Christians need not worry about this sin because this sin is attributing to the devil what is the work of the Holy Spirit. It reveals a heart-attitude of unbelief and unrepentance. Deliberate, ongoing rejection of the work of the Holy Spirit is blasphemy because it is rejection of God himself."

Thus, speaking against the Holy Spirit is equivalent to rejecting Christ with such finality that no future repentance is possible.

"If we refuse to accept the testimony given to us by the Holy Spirit, fight off His conviction of our sin, and never accept the truth, we will never come to Christ for salvation. In Christ, all our sins are forgiven. Therefore, no Christian can commit the unpardonable sin. Only an unregenerate person who refuses to come to Christ will die in his or her sins" [Freedom in Christ (Knoxville, Tennessee: FICM.org, 2002).].

"…once you accept Jesus, that part of the Holy Spirit's job is complete, thus you can't blaspheme His work. Naturally, He continues to work with you, and you can be stubborn and resist Him as a Christian, but you can't blaspheme Him. Live unproductively, carnal and unspiritual, possible. But commit the unpardonable sin? It's just not possible for a true Christian. Remember what Paul said: [Darrin Yeager (DYeager.org, 2002).] Rom 8:1 So those who are believers in Christ Jesus can no longer be condemned.

A true Christian cannot commit a sin for which there is no forgiveness. We are protected by the power of God (1 Peter 1:5). Although we can certainly grieve the Holy Spirit, he still seals us for the day of redemption (Ephesians 4:30). The Apostle Paul was confident "that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ" (Philippians 1:6, NKJV).

Bear in mind, however, if someone who claims to be a Christian is responding to the Holy Spirit and Christ in a way very similar to that of the Pharisees, despite the strong witness of the Holy Spirit and abundant exposure to the truth of God's Word, it is highly doubtful that the person was ever saved. Only God knows for sure. The evidence clearly points to an unregenerate heart.
"…for a tree is known by its fruit. …For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks" (Matthew 12:33-34, NKJV).

…If one's conscience is bothering him to the point that he feels he is too guilty for God to forgive, he has the assurance of God's Word that forgiveness is possible. The very fact that he is bothered by his sinfulness shows that the Holy Spirit has not abandoned him nor has God given him over to a depraved mind.

My Christiaan KPA

This last week GOD has embarked on giving me another view of the Mystery of GOD'S Kingdom.

I know that GOD has given me eternal life, through his Son, Jesus Christ (1Jn 5:11). This I know by having confessed and been forgiven all my sins (1Jn 1:9). Having confessed my sins, GOD is just and faithfull to cleanse me from all righteousness (1Jn 2:9). By knowing Jesus has GOD's approval, in believing in Jesus, I am standing right before GOD (1Jn 2:29). By believing in Jesus, I have to walk the walk of Jesus (1Jn 2:6).

My Christian KPA Objectives are;

Mat 6:33 But first, be concerned about his kingdom and what has his approval. Then all these things will be provided for you.

Mat 22:37 Jesus answered him, "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.'

Mat 22:39 The second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as you love yourself.'

Mat 28:19 So wherever you go, make disciples of all nations: Baptize them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

1Ti 4:16 Focus on your life and your teaching. Continue to do what I've told you. If you do this, you will save yourself and those who hear you.

Luk 21:36 Be alert at all times. Pray so that you have the power to escape everything that is about to happen and to stand in front of the Son of Man."

2Co 7:1 Since we have these promises, dear friends, we need to cleanse ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit and live a holy life in the fear of God.

Measurement;

1Jn 2:29 If you know that Christ has God's approval, you also know that everyone who does what God approves of has been born from God.

I pray that, the source of hope, fill you with joy and peace through your faith in him. Then you will overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Rom 15:13 )

Mar 13:31 The earth and the heavens will disappear, but my words will never disappear.

Have a BLESSED weekend

Today; Walk the walk of Jesus Christ

COLOSSIANS 2:6 "As you therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk with Him"

Receiving Jesus into our lives is one thing - walking with Him is the next.

Jesus gave us an assurance that He will never leave us nor forsake us. He is able to bless our lives, lift us up, change our future.

We have to discipline ourselves to walk with the Lord.

We cannot walk in the lifestyle of the world and walk with Jesus at the same time.

1Jn 2:15-17 GW
(15) Don't love the world and what it offers. Those who love the world don't have the Father's love in them.
(16) Not everything that the world offers-physical gratification, greed, and extravagant lifestyles-comes from the Father. It comes from the world, and
(17) the world and its evil desires are passing away. But the person who does what God wants lives forever.

When we are disciplined, our lives become productive; our speech, attitude and actions are Christ-like, and we bear the fruit of the Spirit.

So let us today

Let us every Tuesday....
Let us every week....
Let us every month...
walk the walk and talk the talk...
Jesus all the way!

What are the basics of Christianity? #2

What are the basics of Christianity?
My second verse promised to share with you;

#1 our knowledge and ownership of eternal life. (1Jn 5:11-13 GW)

#2 We must know that our sins are forgiven (1Jn 1:9 KJV)

We ARE forgiven our sins on the basis of the message of truth, the GOOD NEWS that has saved us. (Eph 1:13 ). We have repented our sins to experience the grace of GOD. (Act 3:19). Forgiveness is a pre-requisite to becoming a child of GOD!

1Jn 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

With this knowledge, if we ever are confronted with how we know that all our sins are forgiven, lets be able to recite this verse 1 Jon 1:9

Our Father, we praise you for your grace, for your Son, Jesus Christ, through whom we are certain an eternal life and forgiveness of all our sins. Amen

Righteous before GOD

Righteous = Virtuous = honest = just

Means to be in right standing with GOD or to be able to stand right before GOD.

Psa 1:1-6 GW
(1) Blessed is the person who does not follow the advice of wicked people, take the path of sinners, or join the company of mockers.
(2) Rather, he delights in the teachings of the LORD and reflects on his teachings day and night.
(3) He is like a tree planted beside streams- a tree that produces fruit in season and whose leaves do not wither. He succeeds in everything he does.
(4) Wicked people are not like that. Instead, they are like husks that the wind blows away.
(5) That is why wicked people will not be able to stand in the judgment and sinners will not be able to stand where righteous people gather.
(6) The LORD knows the way of righteous people, but the way of wicked people will end.

We can never come into place of right standing with GOD by our own doing.

Rom 3:27-28 GW
(27) So, do we have anything to brag about? Bragging has been eliminated. On what basis was it eliminated? On the basis of our own efforts? No, indeed! Rather, it is eliminated on the basis of faith.
(28) We conclude that a person has God's approval by faith, not by his own efforts
.

1Jn 3:18-24 GW
(19) This is how we will know that we belong to the truth and how we will be reassured in his presence.
(20) Whenever our conscience condemns us, we will be reassured that God is greater than our conscience and knows everything.
(21) Dear friends, if our conscience doesn't condemn us, we can (boldly look to God) STAND RIGHTEOUSLY BEFORE GOD

I PRAY FOR PROSPERITY AND LOVE IN YOUR RELATIONS WITH EACH OTHER (FAMILITY MEMBERS) AS WELL AS AN ENLIGHTENED INTIMIATE RELATIONSHIP WITH OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN DURING THIS WEEKEND. BLESS YOU!!!

A clear conscience before GOD

Conscience
= Sence of right and wrong
= Principles i.e. Philosophy, values
= Ethics i.e. beliefs, morals

Have you ever had this feeling that your are doing something or thinking something which is wrong? That is, being wrong in terms of morals, values,beliefs, faith?

Have you ever done something or thought something that is not righteous? That is not being blameless before GOD. ?

1Jn 3:18-24 GW
(18) Dear children, we must show love through actions that are sincere, not through empty words.
(19) This is how we will know that we belong to the truth and how we will be reassured in his presence.
(20) Whenever our conscience condemns us, we will be reassured that God is greater than our conscience and knows everything.
(21) Dear friends, if our conscience doesn't condemn us, we can boldly look to God
(22) and receive from him anything we ask. We receive it because we obey his commandments and do what pleases him.
(23) This is his commandment: to believe in his Son, the one named Jesus Christ, and to love each other as he commanded us.
(24) Those who obey Christ's commandments live in God, and God lives in them. We know that he lives in us because he has given us the Spirit.

A clear conscience before God therefore leads to boldness and confidence before God.

This thought keeps me busy each day,

keeps me aligned with what I now believe is a nature of Christ in me,

reminds me being a child of GOD,

keeps me growing towards His nature,

make me able to realize what is being unrighteous,

makes me recognizing my conscience as the voice of the Holy Spirit,

reminds me realising the grace of GOD!

I am the first to confess that this is not always the case and therefore I thank GOD for his grace and I thank Jesus being my Mediator to GOD.

Joh 8:32 You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.

Christian advise

Pro 11:14 A nation will fall when there is no direction, but with many advisers there is victory.

It is to our advantage to listen to others when making decisions. One of the means to achieve this is our weekly meetings. By the grace of GOD alone, we are privileged to convene.

I trust the Holy Spirit to give you the urge to join our meeting today.
Please bring along prayer requests / testimonies.

GOD BLESS

Rom 14:13 So let's stop criticizing each other. Instead, you should decide never to do anything that would make other Christians have doubts or lose their faith.

Jesus is our Vine of existence

Imagine you standing with your one arm outstretched to the side, slightly angled forward, your hand bend backward, fingers spread open.

Imagine GOD in heaven, doing exactly this, thereby indicating HIM hiding all sins, sinful beings from his view. GOD cannot condone sin!!!!

For this purpose, GOD has offered his son, Jesus Christ for redemption of all our sins, and when we believe and repent our sins, we are filled with the nature of Christ, we are a children of GOD. GOD drops his hand from those that accept Jesus as their Savior!

This is only possible by faith, by acceptance of Jesus Christ, When GOD thus removes his hand, HE sees us through Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ then is our mediator to GOD. Is it then not appropriate why Jesus had said;
Joh 15:4 GW
(4) Live in me, and I will live in you. A branch cannot produce any fruit by itself. It has to stay attached to the vine. In the same way, you cannot produce fruit unless you live in me.

I pray that you are filled with the Holy Spirit and are driven to maintain a close relationship with GOD through Jesus Christ! Have a blessed weekend!

Joh 1:14 The Word became human and lived among us. We saw his glory. It was the glory that the Father shares with his only Son, a glory full of kindness and truth.

What are the basics of Christianity?

When rugby players start of their season, they always start off with the basics. These basics could include the following;
What does a rugby ball look like
How to pass a ball
How to kick a ball
How to tackle a player
How to cross the advantage line

This is a never ending cycle of events. Always some time or another, one always returns to the basics, always performs the basics, always executes the basics.

So one may ask; What are the basics of Christianity?

I have been given a view of this that I would like to share on a weekly basis, the first of which is the knowledge and ownership of eternal life.

1Jn 5:11-12 GW

(11) This is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is found in his Son.

(12) The person who has the Son has this life. The person who doesn't have the Son of God doesn't have this life.

With this knowledge, if we ever are confronted with questions concerning our faith or eternal life, lets be able to recite these verses!

2Ti 3:16 Every Scripture passage is inspired by God. All of them are useful for teaching, pointing out errors, correcting people, and training them for a life that has God's approval.

God will fulfill all our needs

The church at Philippi had sent a gift to meet the needs of Paul. The Philippians were obedient to the Gospel, they were obedient to the demands of love for Paul, and they were obedient in their obligation to God’s servant. Paul's response (by means of his in faith in God) was as follows;
Php 4:19 KJV
(19) But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

There is no promise that God shall supply all our desires or wishes, but there is a certainty that He will fulfill all our needs.

KJV Commentary has an excellent summation of this section;

We see first of all in this verse a great need. God promises to meet all of their (our) need, not all of their wishes, wants, or whims. Men have physical needs, mental needs, social needs, economic needs. Men have not only temporal needs, but spiritual and eternal needs. Men need perpetual pardon, perpetual peace, and perpetual power.

Secondly, we see in this verse a great helper. Paul says "But my God". Paul could not repay the Philippians, but God could and would. Paul does not say my God can supply all your needs, but my God shall supply all your needs. This was Paul’s personal testimony and confession of faith.

We see next a great Supplier. There is a total supply for a total need. God’s supply is infinite, abundant, inexhaustible, limitless, boundless. God many times uses the agencies of men to meet our needs.

Next we see great resources. God’s riches in glory. Paul says according to his riches, not out of His riches, not off the top. God’s supply is not according to our deserts, but according to His mercy; not out of debt, but out of grace; not according to our emptiness, but according to His fullness; not according to our poverty, but according to His wealth. God has great riches.

Lastly, look at the great and glorious channel by Christ Jesus. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. There is no other Mediator; there is no other channel.

With such precious truth before us then there can only be concurrence with the past, contentment with the present, and confidence for the future

Wednesday 2 September 2009

Jesus is the bread of life

Jesus is the true bread from heaven. He is the bread of God. He is the living bread.
Joh 6:33 God's bread is the man who comes from heaven and gives life to the world."

Jesus satisfies our every need. Jesus satisfies our deepest needs. Jesus is to the soul what food is to the body and air is to the lungs. Jesus feeds us and fills us. He who comes to Jesus will never go hungry, and he who believes in Jesus will never be thirsty.

Joh 6:35 Jesus told them, "I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never become hungry, and whoever believes in me will never become thirsty.

Joh 6:51 I am the living bread that came from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. The bread I will give to bring life to the world is my flesh."

Jesus says He is the "bread of life" which is the opposite of bread/food that spoils.
Joh 6:27 Don't work for food that spoils. Instead, work for the food that lasts into eternal life. This is the food the Son of Man will give you. After all, the Father has placed his seal of approval on him."

Lord Jesus, I pray today that we are enlightened by your love. That we, like cracked clay pots, glow from within with your nature and love. Guide us today by the Holy Spirit to act and by word spread YOUR love. We pray for this through Jesus Christ, our Savior

We are stones, carried to the mountain Zion, our Heavenly Jerusalem

Positive Power Card; The person who removes a mountain begins carrying away small stones

Spiritual Power Card; We are stones, carried to the mountain Zion, our Heavenly Jerusalem

I scanned for "stone" and "mountain" within the bible and primarily found two related synonyms i.e.
Stone = Cornerstone = Jesus, and
Mountain = Mount Zion = Heavenly Jerusalem

Stone = Cornerstone = Jesus.
A cornerstone needs to be straight and square so that the builder would be able to built the rest of the building straight. A building that leans will not endure. This is the idea that Peter is giving to us by quoting Isaiah.
Isa 28:16 This is what the Almighty LORD says: I am going to lay a rock in Zion, a rock that has been tested, a precious cornerstone, a solid foundation. Whoever believes in him will not worry.

Jesus is the perfect cornerstone upon which the spiritual house of God is built and we are the spiritual stones in this house. We must built and measured against the Living Stone to ensure that we are in line with it. As we are built upon this cornerstone, we must keep our lives aligned to Jesus. He is the foundation and we are to build our lives directly on him.
Act 4:10-12 GW
(10) You and all the people of Israel must understand that this man stands in your presence with a healthy body because of the power of Jesus Christ from Nazareth. You crucified Jesus Christ, but God has brought him back to life.
(11) He is the stone that the builders rejected, the stone that has become the cornerstone.

Mountain = Mount Zion = Heavenly Jerusalem
Mount Zion is located on the south-west side of the old city (Jerusalem) , outside of the present walls. In Greek and Roman times this was the southern side of the walled city, the place of the Jesus last supper and the home of the high priest high priest Caiaphas.

Psa 48:2 Its beautiful peak is the joy of the whole earth. Mount Zion is on the northern ridge. It is the city of the great king.

Read more about and view pictures of Mount Zion @ http://www.biblewalks.com/Sites/MountZion.html

Jesus is the Cornerstone of Zion
1Pe 2:6 That is why Scripture says, "I am laying a chosen and precious cornerstone in Zion, and the person who believes in him will never be ashamed."

Zion is God's spiritual kingdom, the heavenly Jerusalem
Heb 12:22 Instead, you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God, to the heavenly Jerusalem. You have come to tens of thousands of angels joyfully gathered together

We are the Spiritual Stones
1Pe 2:4-7a GW
(4) You are coming to Christ, the living stone who was rejected by humans but was chosen as precious by God.
(5) You come to him as living stones, a spiritual house that is being built into a holy priesthood. So offer spiritual sacrifices that God accepts through Jesus Christ.
(6) That is why Scripture says, "I am laying a chosen and precious cornerstone in Zion, and the person who believes in him will never be ashamed."
(7a) This honor belongs to those who believe.

We are destined to end up in Zion (Heavenly Jerusalem)
Heb 12:21-23 GW
(22) Instead, you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God, to the heavenly Jerusalem. You have come to tens of thousands of angels joyfully gathered together
(23) and to the assembly of God's firstborn children (whose names are written in heaven). You have come to a judge (the God of all people) and to the spirits of people who have God's approval and have gained eternal life.

What about non Believers?
1Pe 2:7b-8 GW
(7b)But to those who don't believe: "The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone,
(8) a stone that people trip over, a large rock that people find offensive." The people tripped over the word because they refused to believe it. Therefore, this is how they ended up.

So, why not pick-up and carry the stones to Jesus?

We can do this in two ways;
Carry each other i.e. support fellow Christians
Pick-up and carry non-believers to Jesus

Thus if we build our lives on Jesus (the Cornerstone),we will be established in our lives and will not be shamed. We also may be rejected by people, but when we are built on Jesus, we will not be rejected by God.

Our value is in being living stones built into a spiritual house (in the Heavenly Jerusalem ) aligned with Jesus, our Cornerstone.

Today make friends with a part of yourself you dont like

Positive Power Card; Today make friends with a part of yourself you dont like

Are you an introvert or extrovert?
Try this test @ http://www.nerdtests.com/mq/take.php?id=19

My test results;
The Introvert-Extrovert Test; says that I'm Somewhat Introverted

What does it mean?

This test points to the fact that you tend to be more introverted than extroverted. This would point to the fact that you like taking time for yourself, but do know how to have fun. Your friends are very close, and you consider most other people your peers.

Extroverts:
-have motives and actions that are directed outward.
-are more prone to action than contemplation.
-are typically very friendly to unknown people.
-feel empowered in social situations.

Introverts:
-have motives and actions that are directed inward.
-tend to be preoccupied with their own thoughts and feelings.
-minimize their contact with other people.

Surprised? Those that do know me, surely know me as introvert. So what has changed me?

What made me;
initiate and lead our ITISS cell group
participate in my weekly Hone cell group
participate in my weekly Business men Cell group
participate (to come) in a Lesotho outreach
persevere in communicate (these mails)
Lead Home praying and scripture studies
Testify regularly of Gods grace
maintain my blog @ http://totukoninkryk.blogspot.com/
etc etc.

2Co 3:18 As all of us reflect the Lord's glory with faces that are not covered with veils, we are being changed into his image with ever-increasing glory. This comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. Tit 3:6 God poured a generous amount of the Spirit on us through Jesus Christ our Savior. 1Jn 4:2 This is how you can recognize God's Spirit: Every person who declares that Jesus Christ has come as a human has the Spirit that is from God.

Yes the Holy Spirit is my guidance!!

I have made my Holy Spirit "story" from the following scripts;

Blessed are those who recognize they are spiritually helpless. (Mat 5:3a) Those who live by the corrupt nature have the corrupt nature's attitude. But those who live by the spiritual nature have the spiritual nature's attitude. (Rom 8:5) Flesh and blood give birth to flesh and blood, but the Spirit gives birth to things that are spiritual.. (Joh 3:6) Don't you know that your body is a temple that belongs to the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit, whom you received from God, lives in you. You don't belong to yourselves. (1Co3:19)

The Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything. He will remind you of everything that I have ever told you. (Joh 14:26) At the same time the Spirit also helps us in our weakness, because we don't know how to pray for what we need. (Rom 8:26a) The Spirit intercedes for God's people the way God wants him to. (Rom 8:27b)

The evidence of the Spirit's presence is given to each person for the common good of everyone.(7) The Spirit gives one person the ability to speak with wisdom. The same Spirit gives another person the ability to speak with knowledge.(8) To another person the same Spirit gives courageous faith. To another person the same Spirit gives the ability to heal.(9) Another can work miracles. Another can speak what God has revealed. Another can tell the difference between spirits. Another can speak in different kinds of languages. Another can interpret languages.(10) There is only one Spirit who does all these things by giving what God wants to give to each person. (1Co 12:7-11) This Holy Spirit is the guarantee that we will receive our inheritance. We have this guarantee until we are set free to belong to him (Jesus ). (Eph 1:14a)

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes to you. (Act 1: 8a) So then, as Christians, do you have any encouragement? Do you have any comfort from love? Do you have any spiritual relationships? Do you have any sympathy and compassion? (Php 2:1) Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially the gift of speaking what God has revealed. (1Col 14:1) Pray in the Spirit in every situation. Use every kind of prayer and request there is. For the same reason be alert. Use every kind of effort and make every kind of request for all of God's people. (Eph 6:18)

Dear friends, use your most holy faith to grow. Pray with the Holy Spirit's help. (Jud 1:20)

No wonder then that I am moving away from being a introvert, being lead to participate in the Sanlam prayer intercession initiative, being lead to promote more praying during our weekly sessions.

I am making friends with part of me I dont like...with the help of the Holy Spirit!!!

Can you?

Remember;
" Don't put out the Spirit's fire. (1Th 5:19) As the Holy Spirit says, "If you hear God speak today, don't be stubborn. (Heb 3:7)

Dear Father, You are AWESOME. All it took was to open our eyes and ears, to understand your grace and to believe in Jesus, in what You Father, and Jesus Christ did for each of us, even before we were born. We are blessed indeed to have recveived our Helper, the Holy Spirit. You new Father that we would not be able to believe and persevere in belief on our own. We praise you Father for your love, We love you Jesus for your blood, we thank you Holy Spirit for your hand in leading us day by day closer and closer to the nature of Jesus. Through Jesus Christ we pray this. Amen.

Bless YOU.. Have a blessed weekend.

By being negative you are moving in the dark, by being positive you are spreading the light

Positive Power Card; By being negative you become negative, by being positive you become positive.

Mat 22:37 Jesus answered him, "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.'

Mat 22:39 The second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as you love yourself.'

1Co 13:13 So these three things remain: faith, hope, and love. But the best one of these is love.

1Jn 4:12 No one has ever seen God. If we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is perfected in us.

Love = been devoted to, feel affection for
The opposite of love is not necessary hate, but more correct perhaps Apathy?
Apathy = indifference, lack of concern.

Negative = not caring
Positive = caring

Negative = People not caring about what we know
Positive = People caring when they know how much we care

By being negative we are not fulfilling the Great Commission
By being positive we are spreading the Good News

Php 2:3-5 GW
(3) Don't act out of selfish ambition or be conceited. Instead, humbly think of others as being better than yourselves. (4) Don't be concerned only about your own interests, but also be concerned about the interests of others. (5) Have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.

Spiritual Power Card; By being negative you are moving in the dark, by being positive you are spreading the light

Eph 4:18 They can't understand because they are in the dark. They are excluded from the life that God approves of because of their ignorance and stubbornness.

Praise and Woreship

Today's agenda;
Woreship
Prayer
Silent Prayer
Script reading

Please bring along prayer request and any thought / script you would like to share.

Anyway, any order!

Rom 14:17 God's kingdom does not consist of what a person eats or drinks. Rather, God's kingdom consists of God's approval and peace, as well as the joy that the Holy Spirit gives.

What better example than Jesus!

Jesus prayed for guidance in places of quiet solitude - "Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed" (Mark 1:35)

"But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed" (Luke 5:16).

Jesus prayed for His disciples and for all believers -"Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name-the name you gave me-so that they may be one as we are one" (John 17:11).

"My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you" (John 17:20-21).

Jesus prayed in praise to God, the Father - "At that time Jesus, full of joy through the Holy Spirit, said, ‘I praise you, Father, lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this was your good pleasure’" (Luke 10:21).

Jesus prayed prayers of thanksgiving - "While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, ‘Take it; this is my body’" (Mark 14:22).

Jesus prayed in a posture and with an attitude of reverent submission - "Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, ‘My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will’" (Matthew 26:39).

Jesus prayed in times of anguish – "And being in anguish, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground" (Luke 22:44).

About the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, ‘Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?’--which means, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?’" (Matthew 27:46).

Jesus taught the disciples how to pray, "The Lord’s Prayer" located in Matthew 6:5-15.

Prayer is our way of communication with GOD.

We should pray for wisdom, guidance, for others to come to know Him as Savior and Lord, pray for each other, pray to protect us from evil, pray with honesty and reverence, pray with joy and praise and always....pray with expectation!!

God will hear our prayers.

Last week during my midweek cell we discussed prayer i.e. God already knows what we want to pray for.
Mat 6:7-8 GW
(7) "When you pray, don't ramble like heathens who think they'll be heard if they talk a lot.
(8) Don't be like them. Your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

Thus , another possible view;

What do we need to pray for, how do we need to pray?

If GOD knows our needs, should we not just praise HIM? Should we not rather pray for knowledge and acceptance of GOD grace? Should we not just pray and thank HIM for what we have received?

1Jn 5:14-15 GW
(14) We are confident that God listens to us if we ask for anything that has his approval.
(15) We know that he listens to our requests. So we know that we already have what we ask him for.

Maybe the reason you dont feel good is because you haven't given yourself permission

Positive Power Card; Maybe the reason you dont feel good is because you haven't given yourself permission

The way we were before we were saved;
1Pe 4:3 You spent enough time in the past doing what unbelievers like to do. You were promiscuous, had sinful desires, got drunk, went to wild parties, and took part in the forbidden worship of false gods.

To be reborn;
"Christ in me" is the partnership we have received at the very moment that we were reborn
1Co 1:30 You are partners with Christ Jesus because of God. Jesus has become our wisdom sent from God, our righteousness, our holiness, and our ransom from sin.

The nature of Christ in me gives the in us the characteristics of Christ. This in now our true identity!
Gal 5:22 But the spiritual nature produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

The working of the cross; In Christ we are new creations
2Co 5:17 Whoever is a believer in Christ is a new creation. The old way of living has disappeared. A new way of living has come into existence.

We are newly created persons with a new identity, a reborn person with the nature of Christ in us. God looks at us and sees Christ in us. We are indeed Christ before GOD. We are children of GOD.

Jesus was crucified, also buried, brought back to life and now is given the authority to rule over heaven and earth.

At the time we were reborn, how?
Rom 10:9 If you declare that Jesus is Lord, and believe that God brought him back to life, you will be saved.

we were crucified with Him,
Rom 6:6 We know that the person we used to be was crucified with him to put an end to sin in our bodies. Because of this we are no longer slaves to sin.

buried with Him,
Col 2:12 This happened when you were placed in the tomb with Christ through baptism. In baptism you were also brought back to life with Christ through faith in the power of God, who brought him back to life.

brought back to life with Him,
Gal 2:20 I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live I live by believing in God's Son, who loved me and took the punishment for my sins.

and is with Him in the heaven.
Eph 2:6 God has brought us back to life together with Christ Jesus and has given us a position in heaven with him.

Is it then true that we still have a sinful nature?
No! ...to be reborn means that our old sinful nature is been replaced from that moment forward with the nature of Christ, our then now true identity!.
1Jn 3:9 Those who have been born from God don't live sinful lives. What God has said lives in them, and they can't live sinful lives. They have been born from God.

What about sinful things we still do?
We have to bring what we do wrong to GOD. We must ask Him for forgiveness. We must confess what we do wrong. We must recognize that what we have done wrong, is already dealt with by the cross.

What about the skeletons?
Communicate with GOD. Bring it to the cross. Confess and recognize that it we dealt with by the blood of Jesus, by the cross.

and..
If we confess and recognise, then we proclaim the power of the cross over what we do wrong, over all our history, over all our skeletons.
1Jn 1:7 But if we live in the light in the same way that God is in the light, we have a relationship with each other. And the blood of his Son Jesus cleanses us from every sin.

So please do give yourselves the permission; to be free, to be a child of God!!!

and....

Then you will always feel good?

1Jn 1:9 God is faithful and reliable. If we confess our sins, he forgives them and cleanses us from everything we've done wrong.

GOD's GRACE

1Th 2:13 Here is another reason why we never stop thanking God: When you received God's word from us, you realized it wasn't the word of humans. Instead, you accepted it for what it really is-the word of God. This word is at work in you believers.

Yesterday was a day of blessings for me. Do you experience things that happened, a then realize that you must thank GOD?

Before my repentance certain thinks happened and "I thanked my luck" , but today I know two things;
1) build on an intimate relationship with God
2) living a life within the Spirit

My son bought a car recently ( 3 weeks ago ), drove it for one week and the engine seized. The dealer did'nt really want to honour its 30 day warranty and the issue started to involve into a dispute. The guarantee that my son paid for (R4000) has however after 2 weeks agreed to pay the full costs of +-R35000 for fixing the engine. God gave me then the opportunity to spread His Word. God gave me the opportunity to tell my son, that it is "not just luck", but the grace of GOD at work.

In October I am invited to go on a outreach to Lesotho. Own transport and funds is required. My bakkie needed repairs, a license, spending money, fuel and lodging, total estimated costs R10 000+. I was told to trust that GOD will provide and started by asking the convener (Fanie) for options to reduce costs. He answered by informing that I can come along, only spending money required i.e. +- R600. He's approach was one of obedience to the voice of Holy Spirit, once again the realization of the grace of GOD at work.

My discussions this last two weeks with my son, is particularly important to me, as it is building and improving a somewhat not so happy history. Fanie's offer is self explanatory, just awesome!

I realize and this is what I want to testify hereby;

The community of Christ is more than just one of faith, but also one of growing relations!

Joh 4:23-24 GW
(23) Indeed, the time is coming, and it is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth. The Father is looking for people like that to worship him.
(24) God is a spirit. Those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth."

It is my prayer, that you and your family experience a blessed weekend. I pray for you to receive all that you expect, that you are comforted and that you have loving relations with all around you. Thank you Father, for Your grace, for Jesus Christ our Redeemer, and the wonderfull working of the Holy Spirit in me / us.

BLESS YOU

The Great Commission

Christians we belive, are enlightened, read the bible and grow in faith. According to the bible , non believers are people of the world that cannot know , see or experience the grace of GOD.

I realized then that I am reading and studying the bible from a christians point of view, however, there are many, many verses warning non believers of their fate.

Have you ever stopped to think about; how would such non believers know this fate?

There is only one way to God i.e. through Jesus Christ.

1Ti 2:5 There is one God. There is also one mediator between God and humans-a human, Christ Jesus.

There is no other way, or other Gods.

Exo 20:3 "Never have any other god.

You only have two choices, you are either for God, or you are against him.

Mat 12:30 "Whoever isn't with me is against me. Whoever doesn't gather with me scatters.

If you are against him, then you are lost to die in your sins

Joh 8:24 For this reason I told you that you'll die because of your sins. If you don't believe that I am the one, you'll die because of your sins."

As a Christians you must not except any other Gospel.

Gal 1:9 I'm now telling you again what we've told you in the past: If anyone tells you good news that is different from the Good News you received, that person should be condemned to hell.

Jesus Christ is the truth. Anyone going against that is against God. All must focus only on God and what he asks of us.

Jas 1:13-15 GW
(13) When someone is tempted, he shouldn't say that God is tempting him. God can't be tempted by evil, and God doesn't tempt anyone. (14) Everyone is tempted by his own desires as they lure him away and trap him. (15) Then desire becomes pregnant and gives birth to sin. When sin grows up, it gives birth to death.

Man has two main choices:
1) accept the Love of God and, upon death, go to paradise for eternity,
2) Refuse God and, upon death, just die, be utterly damned.

God’s original plan when he created man was to have an intimate relationship. God allowed man to have the choice to love him.

That is each individual’s personal choice.

God has sent his son Jesus to be the last sacrifice for the cleansing of our sins in order for us to enter heaven.

Hell is what it is; darkness, torment and eternal separation from God. Once your there, you are there for eternity.

2Pe 3:9 The Lord isn't slow to do what he promised, as some people think. Rather, he is patient for your sake. He doesn't want to destroy anyone but wants all people to have an opportunity to turn to him and change the way they think and act.

This is my "other" view on the The Great Commission, our personal instruction from Jesus to each of us, share the gift of salvation!

Once again

Who have we caused to feel happy? to become happy? to be happy?

Wednesday 19 August 2009

I will not be selfish and I will love and make other people happy

Positive Power Card; I will not be selfish and will make other people feel happy

My Spiritual translation is; I will not be selfish and I will love and make other people happy

Being a Christian is all about a personal relationships with God and with others.
Mat 22:37-39 GW
(37) Jesus answered him, "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' (38) This is the greatest and most important commandment. (39) The second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as you love yourself.'

Therefore one of the most important things we need to concentrate on is "fellowship".
This means first of all that we must spend time together, in worship, educational activities, service to others, and having fun.

These activities help us get to know each other, and assist us to develop a Christian community. Jesus referred to this community as the vineyard;
Joh 15:1 GW (1) Then Jesus said, "I am the true vine, and my Father takes care of the vineyard.

As Christian we are destined to share with each other and supporting each other.
Joh 15:4-5 GW
(4) Live in me, and I will live in you. A branch cannot produce any fruit by itself. It has to stay attached to the vine. In the same way, you cannot produce fruit unless you live in me. (5) "I am the vine. You are the branches. Those who live in me while I live in them will produce a lot of fruit. But you can't produce anything without me.

But what about non-Christians?

Joh 15:6 GW
(6) Whoever doesn't live in me is thrown away like a branch and dries up. Branches like this are gathered, thrown into a fire, and burned.

Eph 4:17-18 GW
(17) So I tell you and encourage you in the Lord's name not to live any longer like other people in the world. Their minds are set on worthless things. (18) They can't understand because they are in the dark. They are excluded from the life that God approves of because of their ignorance and stubbornness.

Being a Christian, we must grow in faith, we must grow in love, firstly for GOD and then secondly for our neighbor;

We must produce fruit!!!

The Great Commission is a personal instruction from Jesus to each of us, each Christian . It was firstly, the last recorded personal instruction given by Jesus to His disciples. Secondly, it's a special calling from Jesus Christ to all of us Christian to take specific action while on this earth.

Mat 28:18-20 GW
(18) When Jesus came near, he spoke to them. He said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. (19) So wherever you go, make disciples of all nations: Baptize them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. (20) Teach them to do everything I have commanded you. "And remember that I am always with you until the end of time."

Christians are instructed to teach others about Jesus Christ and the entirety of His truth. Jesus calls every Christian to step out in faith and spread the Good News. This is faith in action!

We must be spreading the Good News to a neighbor; to other people!!!

Rom 10:14-15 GW
(14) But how can people call on him if they have not believed in him? How can they believe in him if they have not heard his message? How can they hear if no one tells the Good News?
(15) How can people tell the Good News if no one sends them? As Scripture says, "How beautiful are the feet of the messengers who announce the Good News."

The question we need to ask ourselves is;

Who has God put on our heart to share the gift of salvation?

Who have we caused to feel happy? to become happy? to be happy?

BLESS YOU!!!

Tuesday 18 August 2009

Hi all,
In compiling this Power Card, I came to the realization , once again, how mighty GOD really is.
Joh 1:1 In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Joh 1:14 The Word became human and lived among us. We saw his glory. It was the glory that the Father shares with his only Son, a glory full of kindness and truth.

What a awesome CV of Jesus Christ, the "Word that became human"!!!

GOD BLESS

Positive Power Card; The biggest mistake you can ever make is to be afraid of making one

I have read the the Gospels i.e Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. I have also read a bible romance written by Jaco Thom i.e. "Jesus; a romance of the life of Jesus"

If you believe the bible which is in any event inspired by GOD i.e.
2Ti 3:16 Every Scripture passage is inspired by God. All of them are useful for teaching, pointing out errors, correcting people, and training them for a life that has God's approval.

If you the believe in what you read i.e

Mat 8:3 Jesus reached out, touched him, and said, "I'm willing. So be clean!" Immediately, his skin disease went away, and he was clean.

Mat 8:13 Jesus told the officer, "Go! What you believed will be done for you." And at that moment the servant was healed.

Mat 8:15 Jesus touched her hand, and the fever went away. So she got up and prepared a meal for him.

Mat 8:26 Jesus said to them, "Why do you cowards have so little faith?" Then he got up, gave an order to the wind and the sea, and the sea became very calm.

Mat 8:32 Jesus said to them, "Go!" The demons came out and went into the pigs. Suddenly, the whole herd rushed down the cliff into the sea and died in the water.

Mat 9:2 Some people brought him a paralyzed man on a stretcher. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the man, "Cheer up, friend! Your sins are forgiven."

Mat 9:20-23 GW
(20) Then a woman came up behind Jesus and touched the edge of his clothes. She had been suffering from chronic bleeding for twelve years.
(21) She thought, "If I only touch his clothes, I'll get well."
(22) When Jesus turned and saw her he said, "Cheer up, daughter! Your faith has made you well." At that very moment the woman became well.
(23) Jesus came to the synagogue leader's house. He saw flute players and a noisy crowd.

Mat 9:24-25 GW
(24) He said to them, "Leave! The girl is not dead. She's sleeping." But they laughed at him.
(25) When the crowd had been put outside, Jesus went in, took her hand, and the girl came back to life.

Mat 9:28-29 GW
(28) Jesus went into a house, and the blind men followed him. He said to them, "Do you believe that I can do this?" "Yes, Lord," they answered.
(29) He touched their eyes and said, "What you have believed will be done for you!"

Mat 9:32-33 GW
(32) As they were leaving, some people brought a man to Jesus. The man was unable to talk because he was possessed by a demon.
(33) But as soon as the demon was forced out, the man began to speak. The crowds were amazed and said, "We have never seen anything like this in Israel!"

Mat 9:35 Jesus went to all the towns and villages. He taught in the synagogues and spread the Good News of the kingdom. He also cured every disease and sickness.

Mat 10:1 Jesus called his twelve disciples and gave them authority to force evil spirits out of people and to cure every disease and sickness.

Mat 14:14 When Jesus got out of the boat, he saw a large crowd. He felt sorry for them and cured their sick people.

Mat 14:29 Jesus said, "Come!" So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water toward Jesus.

Mat 15:34-37 GW
(34) Jesus asked them, "How many loaves of bread do you have?" They answered, "Seven, and a few small fish."
(35) He ordered the crowd to sit down on the ground.
(36) He took the seven loaves and the fish and gave thanks to God. Then he broke the bread and gave it to the disciples, and they gave the bread and fish to the people.
(37) All of them ate as much as they wanted. The disciples picked up the leftover pieces and filled seven large baskets.

Mat 17:2-3 GW
(2) Jesus' appearance changed in front of them. His face became as bright as the sun and his clothes as white as light.
(3) Suddenly, Moses and Elijah appeared to them and were talking with Jesus.

Mat 17:18 Jesus ordered the demon to come out of the boy. At that moment the boy was cured.

Then.................do not ever make the mistake of;

not choosing a live of faith
not choosing to announce the Good News
not choosing to pray
not choosing to persevere in faith

Psa 53:1-2 GW
(1) For the choir director; according to mahalath, a maskil by David. Godless fools say in their hearts, "There is no God." They are corrupt. They do disgusting things. There is no one who does good things.
(2) God looks down from heaven on Adam's descendants to see if there is anyone who acts wisely, if there is anyone who seeks help from God.

Obstacles are things a person sees, when we take your eyes off Gods promise

Positive Power Card; Obstacles are things a person sees, when you take your eyes off your goal

My Wife , Elsabe, worked a night shift at Netcare Hospital, Kuilsriver. This morning she admitted a young girl of +- 13 years with symptoms of post traumatic stress. Why? Her mother was killed early last night.

The event is told as follows (hearsay);
The mother was in a hurry to pick up her daughter. She entered their garage, sliding open the garage door that runs on a sliding channel, somewhat elevated from the floor of the garage. She started to reverse their bakkie out of the garage, but felt something, hindering her to reverse properly. She open her driver door, and whilst still seated, she hung out with her top half of her body, trying to see underneath the bakkie what was was the hinderance. At that time, she supposedly wanted to apply the brakes, but instead pressed down on the accelerator. The bakkie reversed in high speed and the door jammed, snapping her neck.

This is an awful realization of live; you will die, no matter what you may do or not do. It can happen in years, it can be next month, it can be today, it can be within the next few minutes.

If our future is not secured and satisfied by God then we are going to be excessively anxious. This results either in paralyzing fear or in self-managed, greedy control. We end up thinking about ourselves, our future, our problems and our potential, and that keeps us from believing!.

The Biblical definition of "hope" is "confident expectation." Hope is a firm assurance regarding things that are unclear and unknown
(Romans 8:23-25) (23) However, not only creation groans. We, who have the Spirit as the first of God's gifts, also groan inwardly. We groan as we eagerly wait for our adoption, the freeing of our bodies from sin. (24) We were saved with this hope in mind. If we hope for something we already see, it's not really hope. Who hopes for what can be seen? (25) But if we hope for what we don't see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.

Hope is a fundamental component of the life of the righteous .
Pro 23:18 There is indeed a future, and your hope will never be cut off.

Without hope, life loses its meaning
Rom 15:13 May God, the source of hope, fill you with joy and peace through your faith in him. Then you will overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Christian hope is when God has promised that something is going to happen and you put your trust in that promise. Christian hope is a confidence that something will come to pass because God has promised it will come to pass.

So let's look away from the circumstances that confront us, look to Christ, look to the promises, and hold fast to them. Hope comes from the promises of God rooted in the work of Christ.

My Spiritual translation then; Obstacles are things a person sees, when we take your eyes off Gods promise

Father in heaven, I pray for Your love and caring for the family in all ways possible. Thank you Lord, for Your love. Guide us to persevere in faith and the hope given to us through Jesus Christ. I pray this through Jesus Christ, our Saviour.

Holy Spirit

Positive Power Card; Any fool can whine, criticize and complain - and most do!

Yes, we can can whine, criticize and complain as most do, or we can listen, we can form a special partnership with the Holy Spirt!

This morning we ( my weekly Thursday morning cell ) reflected on GOD's grace, his plan (The Holy Spirit) to release all from burdon of sin by Jesus Christ our Saviour.

In Romans 7 Paul writes about the effect of the law of Moses. Without law we would'nt have known what sin was. How would we have measured our sinful acts otherwise?.

Rom 7:7 What should we say, then? Are Moses' laws sinful? That's unthinkable! In fact, I wouldn't have recognized sin if those laws hadn't shown it to me. For example, I wouldn't have known that some desires are sinful if Moses' Teachings hadn't said, "Never have wrong desires."

We thus had the law as a "governor" over us.

Paul continues in verses 7 - 20, describing our corrupt nature leading us to do things that we know are against God's standard, but still we do them! Is that not what happens to us each and every day? Do we not do things, say things, plan things that we know is wrong, but still do?. In fact, we continue to make decisions every day to persevere in faith!

Thank GOD for his mercy.!!! He knew exactly what would happen. He knew we would continue to have problems with our sinful nature.
Rom 7:21-25 GW
(21) So I've discovered this truth: Evil is present with me even when I want to do what God's standards say is good.
(22) I take pleasure in God's standards in my inner being.
(23) However, I see a different standard at work throughout my body. It is at war with the standards my mind sets and tries to take me captive to sin's standards which still exist throughout my body.
(24) What a miserable person I am! Who will rescue me from my dying body?
(25) I thank God that our Lord Jesus Christ rescues me! So I am obedient to God's standards with my mind, but I am obedient to sin's standards with my corrupt nature.

Joh 14:26 However, the helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything. He will remind you of everything that I have ever told you.

We thus now have the Holy Spirt to "govern" us.

This morning I took a moment to pray and thank GOD for his wisdom and mercy and I the following images came to my mind; Me walking in total darkness. I was surrounded by a ball of light. As I was walking, people / faces started to appear, were drawn towards the light.
My thoughts continued and I envisioned; me growing in my relation with Holy Spirit and the ball of light was just growing and growing is size!!!

What do I say! What do I think! What do I believe!

GOD, I pray to thank you for mercy, I pray to thank you for Jesus Christ, your Son, our Redeemer. I pray to thank you for the Holy Spirit given to us freely by your grace alone. Lord, please fill each one of us, every child of God, every person living in the dark, with your Spirit. Bless us by the teachings of the Holy Spirit every minute of avery day.
In Jesus name a pray this. Amen

Psa 1:1-2 GW
(1) Blessed is the person who does not follow the advice of wicked people, take the path of sinners, or join the company of mockers.
(2) Rather, he delights in the teachings of the LORD and reflects on his teachings day and night.

Wednesday 5 August 2009

I will react now!! I will not leave for tomorrow what can be done now!

Positive Power Card; I will act now!! I will not leave what can be done today for tomorrow

Don’t wait!

Heb 3:15 Scripture says, "If you hear God speak today, don't be stubborn. Don't be stubborn like those who rebelled."

It is written in the Book of Hebrews that we should not be reluctant, like the Israelites when they heard God’s voice in the desert. "He who hesitates is lost," as the saying goes.

And, unfortunately, if we wait too long before we answer God’s offer of mercy, we may later come to ignore it altogether.

Similarly by the grace of GOD, we Christians, haven been reborn and haven received the Holy Spirit, we are blessed by His working within us.

And once again, f we wait too long before we listen to the Holy Spirit, we may later come to ignore Him altogether.

Our daily lives may at times be like a journey through the desert. We all have to face many kinds of crises and negative experiences in the course of our lives.

This is when we must persevere.

Heb 3:14 After all, we will remain Christ's partners only if we continue to hold on to our original confidence until the end.

If we are thus willing to listen to he voices of GOD and the Holy Spirit, we will pereserve in faith.

But if you wait too long, this opportunity might be lost. The prophet Isaiah wrote;
Isa 55:6 Seek the LORD while he may be found. Call on him while he is near.

Take care that you don’t make the same mistake as the people of Israel by allowing God’s offer of mercy to pass.

If we want to obey God and the Holy Spirit, we will do well to respond to their invitations today – For tomorrow might be too late for ever.

Keep in mind that GOD hears what you think. So to act, say a small prayer, thank the Holy Spirit, smile etc etc... all these things can be acted on daily without any special effort.

The reason our self ego does not like kindness is because it puts our sinful nature out of business.

Positive Power Card; The reason our ego does not like kindness is because it (kindness) puts it (our ego) out of business

Pulling two cards with the same theme is questionable, It was chance most of us ( or is it them?.) would say!

I, however (and you?), as children of GOD, believe otherwise!? Are we not children of the light? Do we not always depend of GOD? 1Ti 4:10 Certainly, we work hard and struggle to live a godly life, because we place our confidence in the living God. He is the Savior of all people, especially of those who believe.

So yes, I believe it is not chance, it is the Holy Spirit's way to guide me to to bring another view including the fruit of kindness!

I started by finding synonyms for "ego" = "self" = "nature" "sinful nature".

I could however, as part of my spiritual translation also find the following synonyms for "ego' = "self" = "nature" = "nature of Christ"

Nature of Christ
Joh 3:3 KJV
(3)
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Nicodemus comes to Jesus by night and the phrase born of water and the Spirit refers to spiritual birth, which cleanses Believers from sin and brings spiritual transformation and renewal.

As you already know, I was really really enlightened by the "Kruisigings Seminaar' that I attended and in which I have really got to the realization of who I am as a reborn child of GOD, having received a Nature of Jesus Christ.

To be reborn means a new life, a new ID in Jesus Christ, me in Jesus Christ, Jesus Christ in me.
In Greek "life" can be translated into "Bios", Psuge" and 'Zoe" as follows;

"Bios" refers to the physical body. It refers to the working of the body's organs and as such the physical endurance of the body. If an organ(s) stops operating, then the "bios" is removed from the body and we then die.

"Psuge" refers to the soul. The word means to exist through thinking, feeling and decisions. This then relates to a persons consciousness.

The "Bios" and " Psuge" is the life we receive by physical birth.

"Zoe" means in fact a life through God. When Christ said He is the life, He gives you life; then Zoe life is meant. Zoe life is thus the life of Christ, it is His character, it is His nature, it is His manner of living. It is this Zoe life that a Believer receives when we are spiritually reborn; Zoe life is the spiritual nature we receive, Zoe life is the Nature of Christ in us;

A Believer thus exist in "body and soul" (sinful nature) and the Spirit ( Nature of Christ), the two of these natures is then divided by the cross, by Jesus Christ, By our Saviour, by the grace of GOD and supported by the Holy Spirit.
Act 2:38 GW
(38) Peter answered them, "All of you must turn to God and change the way you think and act, and each of you must be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ so that your sins will be forgiven. Then you will receive the Holy Spirit as a gift.

The Holy Spirit operates in our soul. The Holy Spirit guides us towards the Spirit's nature i.e guides us towards the nature of Christ. The Holy Spirit manages our sinful conscience, checks our sinful physical doings i.e. hearing, words, actions etc.

Sinful Nature

Remember yesterday?

Kindness is on of the spiritual fruits that you can build on, and it is a fruit that takes a lot of work. It is easy to be kind to those you like and those who like you. Yet are you willing to put your own contempt aside to help someone that has not been kind in return? Jesus tells us that we are to show mercy to all...not just the people we like.

Just to remind you how I started this translation; I started by finding synonyms for "ego" = "self" = "nature" "sinful nature".

Is it then not logical that "The reason our (self) ego does not like kindness is because it (kindness) puts it (our sinful nature) out of business.
* ego = nature = sinful nature

My Spiritual translation
The reason our self* ego does not like kindness is because it puts our sinful nature** out of business.
* ego = self
**ego = nature = sinful nature

Laughter and a warm smile is kindness, which is part of the universal language of Jesus

Positive Power Card; Laughter and a warm smile is the universal language of kindness.

The Good Samaritan in Luke 10:30-37

Most Christians have heard the phrase "Good Samaritan," but the phrase itself comes from the story told by Jesus in Luke 10. In the story a Jewish traveler is severely beaten by bandits. A priest and temple assistant both passed by the man and did nothing. Finally, a Samaritan man came to him, bandaged the wounds and arranged for rest and recovery at a local inn. Jesus tells us that the Samaritan man was a neighbor to the Jewish man and to be the ones to show others mercy.

Life Lessons:

There is great significance in the story of the Good Samaritan. We are commanded to love our neighbors as ourselves. In the time Jesus told his story, religious leaders were so wrapped up in "The Law" that they had set aside their compassion for others. Jesus reminded us that compassion and mercy are valuable traits. Samaritans at the time were not liked, and often mistreated, by Jews. The Good Samaritan showed a great deal of kindness for the Jew by being willing to put revenge or contempt aside to help a hurting man.

Gal 5:22 But the spiritual nature produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

Since God is kind, the follower of Christ should be kind. Being kind is a mark of what makes the Spirit-led person distinct from others. How does this show?

treating people with respect,
listening instead of blowing one off,
some gentle words for tose that need it,
a helping hand to an elderly,
many more that you can think of.

So, do acts of kindness for people, Give them little tastes of God's love;

People actually like being treated kindly, as if they are valued!!!

My Spiritual translation is thus; Laughter and a warm smile is kindness, which is part of the universal language of Jesus.

Avoid allowing negative people to influence your Believe and receive ALL that He has for you

Positive Power Card; Avoid allowing negative people to influence your life, look at the positive in everything you do

I took a short cut again. Found this message appropriate (refer the following extract from the detail below) i.e.

A person of true faith is a rare commodity. There always seems to be five negative people to every one positive person. Have you ever noticed how it is much easier to see the negative? It seems to be the obvious choice, at times.

The Enemy Is After Your Faith— Don't Let Unbelief Keep You From Receiving Your Promised Land

By Victoria Boyson
Speaking Life Ministries

"If He has shown you your promised land, then believe He will lead you into that promise."

I truly believe one of the greatest thieves in our walk with God is unbelief! When the spirit of unbelief rules our hearts and minds, God is unable to give us the wondrous, supernatural blessings He so desires. His incredible blessings and miracles are stolen away from us by this deceitful spirit.

God is looking for believers who will look at their circumstances with eyes of faith--people who will, despite all odds, believe for what God can do in any situation. He is also looking for people who will encourage the Body of Christ by reminding them of His great power.

Will you be one of those who bring God's viewpoint to His people?

A Different Kind of Spirit

A person of true faith is a rare commodity. There always seems to be five negative people to every one positive person. Have you ever noticed how it is much easier to see the negative? It seems to be the obvious choice, at times. The circumstances that surround us often scream our defeat. But if we take the time to look into God's heart on the matter, we will see it differently. We will see that all is not lost and He has a plan for our good (see Jeremiah 29:11).

Two positive reporters in the Bible were Caleb and Joshua. In Numbers 13 and 14, Moses sent twelve men into the Promised Land to see what it was like and to bring back a report to him and the people of Israel. Twelve spies went in, but only two viewing the situation saw things from God's perspective. Caleb and his friend Joshua saw the land was good and wanted to go get it! Indeed, there were giants in the land, but they knew their God was bigger than any giant. Unfortunately, their reports were contradicted by the negative reports of the other spies.

The ten negative spies saw only the barriers that stood between them and their promised land. They did not believe God was bigger than their circumstances. They said, "We are not able to go up against the people, for they are too strong for us" (Numbers 13:31). But..."Caleb quieted the people before Moses and said, 'We should by all means go up and take possession of it, for we will surely overcome it'" (verse 30).

However, Caleb, try as he might, could not turn the people away from the bad report of the other spies; they refused to believe him. They continued to spread a bad report among the Israelites about the land they explored, saying, "The land through which we have gone, in spying it out, is a land that devours its inhabitants" (Numbers 13:32).

That night all the people wept and complained about their situation. They grumbled against Moses and were ready to give up, even to the point of death. They cried out, "Would that we had died in the land of Egypt! Or would that we had died in this wilderness! Why is the Lord bringing us into this land, to fall by the sword?" (Numbers 14:2-3).

Of course, we know that God did not bring them to the wilderness to die, but rather to give them a great victory. But their hope in God had been deferred by the many bad reports they heard. Their faith had been stolen from them! Proverbs 13:12 says, "Hope deferred makes the heart sick." A spirit of unbelief had robbed the people of their faith in God and caused them to stumble and rebel against Him.

We see the same struggle today with the negative and positive people pitted against one another, fighting for the hearts and minds of God's people. Those with the positive reports, the ones who fight to declare God's goodness, are terribly outnumbered. But, oh, what a wonderful message they have to bring to God's people! They are the ones who bring the true GOSPEL, which is the good news.

Whether our situation is good or bad, we must have faith in God and know He is in control. Any obstacle that lies in our path is really just another opportunity for God to show us how much He loves us and what He can do. We can trust Him! No matter how bad a situation is, He is bigger. Tell Him it's impossible and He grins from ear to ear, because He devours the impossible and leaves us amazed. How could we even think for a moment the situation was impossible? "With God all things are possible" (Matthew 19:26).

Caleb wasn't stupid. He could see the battle against the inhabitants of the land would not be easy. He saw the giants, but he also had a revelation of how BIG his God was. He said, "Do not rebel against the Lord; and do not fear the people of the land, for they will be our prey. Their protection has been removed from them, and the Lord is with us; do not fear them"
(Numbers 14:9).

Pious Deception

"We don't realize what affect our negative words have on God--how hurt He is by our disbelief in Him."

Even some Christians can come to us seeming to be very righteous, when in reality they have been sent by the enemy to discourage the people of God. They feel as though they have been given special insight as to just how bad the situation is. But it is not God's way to show us the negative circumstance without giving us an equal or greater revelation as to how He will redeem it.

Divine reporters view difficulty from God's point of view. They see the light of Christ even in the difficulties surrounding them, and know the favor of the Lord is with them. Refusing to be misled by fear, they allow faith to lead them.

We don't realize what effect our negative words have on God--how hurt He is by our disbelief in Him. He is not a bad God; He is very good and kind. And He wants us to believe and trust in His goodness. When we lead others to view God as "bad" or not in control, we cause them to lose heart and stumble. In doing so, we come under God's judgment, just like the ten spies who caused the Israelite people to rebel against Him.

God judged the Israelites for their rebellion, but His judgment against the ten "bad reporters" was much more severe. "As for the men whom Moses sent to spy out the land and who returned and made all the congregation grumble against him by bringing out a bad report concerning the land, even those men who brought out the very bad report of the land died by a plague before the Lord. But Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephunneh remained alive out of those men who went to spy out the land" (Numbers 14:36-38).

Thousands of people died in the desert because of the negative influence of ten men.

When God saw He was treated with contempt (see Numbers 14:22-23), He became very angry with the Israelites. Their disbelief in Him and their focus on their circumstances had caused them to offend God.

Caleb, on the other hand, had pleased God. "But my servant Caleb, because he has had a different spirit and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land which he entered, and his descendants shall take possession of it" (Numbers 14:24).

God is pleased with those who trust in Him. If He has shown you your promised land, then believe He will lead you into that promise. We need to take captive any thought, word, or report that would raise itself above what the Lord has declared to be true. If God says you can do it, then you will!

Warning Against Unbelief

God equals the sin of unbelief to that of rebellion (see Hebrews 3). I have never been sorry that I have trusted in God, even if what I have believed for has not happened. However, I have regretted not trusting in Him. Our unbelief hurts God, so much so that He refers to it as a hardened heart (see Hebrews 3:15).

"For who provoked Him when they had heard? Indeed, did not all those who came out of Egypt led by Moses? And with whom was He angry for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness? And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest, but to those who were disobedient? So we see that they were not able to enter because of unbelief" (Hebrews 3:16-19 emphasis mine).

Many of the children of Israel were unable to enter the Promised Land because of their unbelief. They saw the miracles God had previously performed, and heard the Word of God He spoke through His prophets. "But the word they heard did not profit them, because it was not united by faith in those who heard" (Hebrews 4:2). Their unbelief led to their disobedience to God; it caused them to sin.

God is honored by our faith in Him. He takes it very personally, and rightly so. If we truly have a personal relationship with Him, we would know Him as faithful and true (see Revelation 19:11).

Indeed, our faith in God is an element of our worship to Him. Do not let unbelief keep you from giving Him your heart completely and receiving ALL that He has for you.

Pray this with me:
Dear Father,
Forgive me for not trusting in You completely, and forgive me for my lack of faith and any discouraging words I have spoken. Help me to be an encouragement to Your people. I want You to be pleased with me, so help me to follow You with my whole heart.
In Jesus' name, Amen!

Change your life today. Accept where you are in life.

Yesterdays Spiritual Card was; Change your life today. You don't have to accept where you are in life.

What a striking card it was indeed!

Thys enlightened us that there is a other view as i.e. "we must be at peace with what we have in life at this stage of our lifes because for NOW that's where GOD placed you. He might move you to new areas tomorrow, but for today - thank Him in everything"

I am delighted at the responses that was forwarded i.e. I believe, God is working its way with us, getting us to live his word, I believe we are happy, we are thinking the living word day and night (Psalm 1: 1-2).

The theme of Thys response and the acceptance by some of us does indeed lead to praise of what Christ does give us each and every day. By chance again? ...No I do not believe this, GOD has once again given me something to tell.

Today my Spiritual Card is; Change your life today. Accept where you are in life.

Enjoy

How fast does the time go? its weekend again.

I pray that Jesus Christ is with you, together with Holy Spirit , to lead and give you a Christ like fulfilling weekend.

BLESS YOU

Heb 3:13-19 GW (13) Encourage each other every day while you have the opportunity. If you do this, none of you will be deceived by sin and become stubborn. (14) After all, we will remain Christ's partners only if we continue to hold on to our original confidence until the end. (15) Scripture says, "If you hear God speak today, don't be stubborn. Don't be stubborn like those who rebelled." (16) Who heard God and rebelled? All those whom Moses led out of Egypt rebelled. (17) With whom was God angry for 40 years? He was angry with those who sinned and died in the desert. (18) Who did God swear would never enter his place of rest? He was talking about those who didn't obey him. (19) So we see that they couldn't enter his place of rest because they didn't believe.

Wie is God? (Psalm 23)*

1. Die Here is my herder: *God wil ’n verhouding met jou bou.*
2. Niks sal my ontbreek nie: *God voorsien in elke situasie.*
3. Hy laat my neerlê in groen weivelde: *God bring rus te midde geraas.*
4. Na waters waar rus is lei Hy my heen: *God verkwik jou siel.*
5. Hy gee my nuwe krag: *God is die Geneser.*
9. Want U is met my: *God is getrou.*
10. U stok en u staf dié vertroos my: *God bring vertroosting in moeilike tye.*
11. U berei die tafel voor my aangesig teenoor my teenstanders: *God gee hoop.*
12. U maak my hoof vet met olie: *God stel belang in jou heiligmakingsproses.*
13. My beker loop oor: *God oortref jou verwagtinge.*

Wie is God vir jou?

Hierdie lysie is belangrik.

Amen.*

Change your life today. You don't have to accept where you are in life.

Positive Power Card; Change your life today. You don't have to accept where you are in life.

What a striking Power Card!?

If You are not a Believer?
Mar 1:14-15 GW
(14)
After John had been put in prison, Jesus went to Galilee and told people the Good News of God.
(15) He said, "The time has come, and the kingdom of God is near. Change the way you think and act, and believe the Good News."

If you want to Believe?
Rom 10:9-10 GW
(9) If you declare that Jesus is Lord, and believe that God brought him back to life, you will be saved.
(10) By believing you receive God's approval, and by declaring your faith you are saved.

If you do Believe?
Joh 10:27-28 GW
(27) My sheep respond to my voice, and I know who they are. They follow me,
(28) and I give them eternal life. They will never be lost, and no one will tear them away from me.

If you want to grow in Believe?
1Pe 2:6-12 GW
(6) That is why Scripture says, "I am laying a chosen and precious cornerstone in Zion, and the person who believes in him will never be ashamed."
(7) This honor belongs to those who believe. But to those who don't believe: "The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone,
(8) a stone that people trip over, a large rock that people find offensive." The people tripped over the word because they refused to believe it. Therefore, this is how they ended up.
(9) However, you are chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, people who belong to God. You were chosen to tell about the excellent qualities of God, who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
(10) Once you were not God's people, but now you are. Once you were not shown mercy, but now you have been shown mercy.
(11) Dear friends, since you are foreigners and temporary residents in the world, I'm encouraging you to keep away from the desires of your corrupt nature. These desires constantly attack you.
(12) Live decent lives among unbelievers. Then, although they ridicule you as if you were doing wrong while they are watching you do good things, they will praise God on the day he comes to help you.

Is it chance or did this card come up to remind me of me having declared my faith on 23rd February 2009? Exactly 5 months today.

Everyone knows their birth date. Do you remember your date haven been reborn through Jesus Christ, our Saviour? I, for one, is excited to be reminded; thank You Lord, for 5 glorious, enlightening months of faith!

I gave you above some scripts for different levels of faith (my view). Been confronted with questions, listening to the Holy Spirit, studing the living word; then to me it is a given that one should start to display the fruits of the Holy Spirit, globally taken together into one word; love!.

Last evening I attended our Homesel and the topic for the evening was about the meaning of "been reborn". The chances are that it will become necessary to be able to explain a people what it means to be reborn, how to become reborn, and how to remain true in faith. 2Co 5:17 Whoever is a believer in Christ is a new creation. The old way of living has disappeared. A new way of living has come into existence.

By declaring my faith I know now that I have become reborn with the identity of Jesus Christ, I have received the nature of Christ that will never be lost again. I have received the "incorruptible seed" of our Father. I am a child of our Father, when our Father looks at me, He sees Jesus Christ within me. I am in Christ and Christ is in Me. I have a new ID, I am reborn. (Also My knowledge obtained by attending a "Kruis Seminaar" )

Some of us are outspoken, some are happy with a personal relationship with GOD, some of us are destined to do more. Whatever the case, I believe we are all called to be a witness of the love of GOD Act 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes to you. Then you will be my witnesses to testify about me in Jerusalem, throughout Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

Father, I praise and thank you for an ID in Jesus Christ that we have received, not because we have earned it, but solely as result of your grace. I thank you for a new live, I thank you for the hope that will continuedly grow us in faith. I pray that we all today are directed according to your will, that we bear the fruits of love as we speak and walk the passages of Sanlam. I pray that we listen to the Holy Spirit within us and that by obedience to your voice, a child is today added to your Kingdom. This all I pray throug Jesus Christ, our Saviour. Amen

BLESS YOU!!!
