The reason our self ego does not like kindness is because it puts our sinful nature out of business.

Positive Power Card; The reason our ego does not like kindness is because it (kindness) puts it (our ego) out of business

Pulling two cards with the same theme is questionable, It was chance most of us ( or is it them?.) would say!

I, however (and you?), as children of GOD, believe otherwise!? Are we not children of the light? Do we not always depend of GOD? 1Ti 4:10 Certainly, we work hard and struggle to live a godly life, because we place our confidence in the living God. He is the Savior of all people, especially of those who believe.

So yes, I believe it is not chance, it is the Holy Spirit's way to guide me to to bring another view including the fruit of kindness!

I started by finding synonyms for "ego" = "self" = "nature" "sinful nature".

I could however, as part of my spiritual translation also find the following synonyms for "ego' = "self" = "nature" = "nature of Christ"

Nature of Christ
Joh 3:3 KJV
(3)
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Nicodemus comes to Jesus by night and the phrase born of water and the Spirit refers to spiritual birth, which cleanses Believers from sin and brings spiritual transformation and renewal.

As you already know, I was really really enlightened by the "Kruisigings Seminaar' that I attended and in which I have really got to the realization of who I am as a reborn child of GOD, having received a Nature of Jesus Christ.

To be reborn means a new life, a new ID in Jesus Christ, me in Jesus Christ, Jesus Christ in me.
In Greek "life" can be translated into "Bios", Psuge" and 'Zoe" as follows;

"Bios" refers to the physical body. It refers to the working of the body's organs and as such the physical endurance of the body. If an organ(s) stops operating, then the "bios" is removed from the body and we then die.

"Psuge" refers to the soul. The word means to exist through thinking, feeling and decisions. This then relates to a persons consciousness.

The "Bios" and " Psuge" is the life we receive by physical birth.

"Zoe" means in fact a life through God. When Christ said He is the life, He gives you life; then Zoe life is meant. Zoe life is thus the life of Christ, it is His character, it is His nature, it is His manner of living. It is this Zoe life that a Believer receives when we are spiritually reborn; Zoe life is the spiritual nature we receive, Zoe life is the Nature of Christ in us;

A Believer thus exist in "body and soul" (sinful nature) and the Spirit ( Nature of Christ), the two of these natures is then divided by the cross, by Jesus Christ, By our Saviour, by the grace of GOD and supported by the Holy Spirit.
Act 2:38 GW
(38) Peter answered them, "All of you must turn to God and change the way you think and act, and each of you must be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ so that your sins will be forgiven. Then you will receive the Holy Spirit as a gift.

The Holy Spirit operates in our soul. The Holy Spirit guides us towards the Spirit's nature i.e guides us towards the nature of Christ. The Holy Spirit manages our sinful conscience, checks our sinful physical doings i.e. hearing, words, actions etc.

Sinful Nature

Remember yesterday?

Kindness is on of the spiritual fruits that you can build on, and it is a fruit that takes a lot of work. It is easy to be kind to those you like and those who like you. Yet are you willing to put your own contempt aside to help someone that has not been kind in return? Jesus tells us that we are to show mercy to all...not just the people we like.

Just to remind you how I started this translation; I started by finding synonyms for "ego" = "self" = "nature" "sinful nature".

Is it then not logical that "The reason our (self) ego does not like kindness is because it (kindness) puts it (our sinful nature) out of business.
* ego = nature = sinful nature

My Spiritual translation
The reason our self* ego does not like kindness is because it puts our sinful nature** out of business.
* ego = self
**ego = nature = sinful nature

Laughter and a warm smile is kindness, which is part of the universal language of Jesus

Positive Power Card; Laughter and a warm smile is the universal language of kindness.

The Good Samaritan in Luke 10:30-37

Most Christians have heard the phrase "Good Samaritan," but the phrase itself comes from the story told by Jesus in Luke 10. In the story a Jewish traveler is severely beaten by bandits. A priest and temple assistant both passed by the man and did nothing. Finally, a Samaritan man came to him, bandaged the wounds and arranged for rest and recovery at a local inn. Jesus tells us that the Samaritan man was a neighbor to the Jewish man and to be the ones to show others mercy.

Life Lessons:

There is great significance in the story of the Good Samaritan. We are commanded to love our neighbors as ourselves. In the time Jesus told his story, religious leaders were so wrapped up in "The Law" that they had set aside their compassion for others. Jesus reminded us that compassion and mercy are valuable traits. Samaritans at the time were not liked, and often mistreated, by Jews. The Good Samaritan showed a great deal of kindness for the Jew by being willing to put revenge or contempt aside to help a hurting man.

Gal 5:22 But the spiritual nature produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

Since God is kind, the follower of Christ should be kind. Being kind is a mark of what makes the Spirit-led person distinct from others. How does this show?

treating people with respect,
listening instead of blowing one off,
some gentle words for tose that need it,
a helping hand to an elderly,
many more that you can think of.

So, do acts of kindness for people, Give them little tastes of God's love;

People actually like being treated kindly, as if they are valued!!!

My Spiritual translation is thus; Laughter and a warm smile is kindness, which is part of the universal language of Jesus.

Avoid allowing negative people to influence your Believe and receive ALL that He has for you

Positive Power Card; Avoid allowing negative people to influence your life, look at the positive in everything you do

I took a short cut again. Found this message appropriate (refer the following extract from the detail below) i.e.

A person of true faith is a rare commodity. There always seems to be five negative people to every one positive person. Have you ever noticed how it is much easier to see the negative? It seems to be the obvious choice, at times.

The Enemy Is After Your Faith— Don't Let Unbelief Keep You From Receiving Your Promised Land

By Victoria Boyson
Speaking Life Ministries

"If He has shown you your promised land, then believe He will lead you into that promise."

I truly believe one of the greatest thieves in our walk with God is unbelief! When the spirit of unbelief rules our hearts and minds, God is unable to give us the wondrous, supernatural blessings He so desires. His incredible blessings and miracles are stolen away from us by this deceitful spirit.

God is looking for believers who will look at their circumstances with eyes of faith--people who will, despite all odds, believe for what God can do in any situation. He is also looking for people who will encourage the Body of Christ by reminding them of His great power.

Will you be one of those who bring God's viewpoint to His people?

A Different Kind of Spirit

A person of true faith is a rare commodity. There always seems to be five negative people to every one positive person. Have you ever noticed how it is much easier to see the negative? It seems to be the obvious choice, at times. The circumstances that surround us often scream our defeat. But if we take the time to look into God's heart on the matter, we will see it differently. We will see that all is not lost and He has a plan for our good (see Jeremiah 29:11).

Two positive reporters in the Bible were Caleb and Joshua. In Numbers 13 and 14, Moses sent twelve men into the Promised Land to see what it was like and to bring back a report to him and the people of Israel. Twelve spies went in, but only two viewing the situation saw things from God's perspective. Caleb and his friend Joshua saw the land was good and wanted to go get it! Indeed, there were giants in the land, but they knew their God was bigger than any giant. Unfortunately, their reports were contradicted by the negative reports of the other spies.

The ten negative spies saw only the barriers that stood between them and their promised land. They did not believe God was bigger than their circumstances. They said, "We are not able to go up against the people, for they are too strong for us" (Numbers 13:31). But..."Caleb quieted the people before Moses and said, 'We should by all means go up and take possession of it, for we will surely overcome it'" (verse 30).

However, Caleb, try as he might, could not turn the people away from the bad report of the other spies; they refused to believe him. They continued to spread a bad report among the Israelites about the land they explored, saying, "The land through which we have gone, in spying it out, is a land that devours its inhabitants" (Numbers 13:32).

That night all the people wept and complained about their situation. They grumbled against Moses and were ready to give up, even to the point of death. They cried out, "Would that we had died in the land of Egypt! Or would that we had died in this wilderness! Why is the Lord bringing us into this land, to fall by the sword?" (Numbers 14:2-3).

Of course, we know that God did not bring them to the wilderness to die, but rather to give them a great victory. But their hope in God had been deferred by the many bad reports they heard. Their faith had been stolen from them! Proverbs 13:12 says, "Hope deferred makes the heart sick." A spirit of unbelief had robbed the people of their faith in God and caused them to stumble and rebel against Him.

We see the same struggle today with the negative and positive people pitted against one another, fighting for the hearts and minds of God's people. Those with the positive reports, the ones who fight to declare God's goodness, are terribly outnumbered. But, oh, what a wonderful message they have to bring to God's people! They are the ones who bring the true GOSPEL, which is the good news.

Whether our situation is good or bad, we must have faith in God and know He is in control. Any obstacle that lies in our path is really just another opportunity for God to show us how much He loves us and what He can do. We can trust Him! No matter how bad a situation is, He is bigger. Tell Him it's impossible and He grins from ear to ear, because He devours the impossible and leaves us amazed. How could we even think for a moment the situation was impossible? "With God all things are possible" (Matthew 19:26).

Caleb wasn't stupid. He could see the battle against the inhabitants of the land would not be easy. He saw the giants, but he also had a revelation of how BIG his God was. He said, "Do not rebel against the Lord; and do not fear the people of the land, for they will be our prey. Their protection has been removed from them, and the Lord is with us; do not fear them"
(Numbers 14:9).

Pious Deception

"We don't realize what affect our negative words have on God--how hurt He is by our disbelief in Him."

Even some Christians can come to us seeming to be very righteous, when in reality they have been sent by the enemy to discourage the people of God. They feel as though they have been given special insight as to just how bad the situation is. But it is not God's way to show us the negative circumstance without giving us an equal or greater revelation as to how He will redeem it.

Divine reporters view difficulty from God's point of view. They see the light of Christ even in the difficulties surrounding them, and know the favor of the Lord is with them. Refusing to be misled by fear, they allow faith to lead them.

We don't realize what effect our negative words have on God--how hurt He is by our disbelief in Him. He is not a bad God; He is very good and kind. And He wants us to believe and trust in His goodness. When we lead others to view God as "bad" or not in control, we cause them to lose heart and stumble. In doing so, we come under God's judgment, just like the ten spies who caused the Israelite people to rebel against Him.

God judged the Israelites for their rebellion, but His judgment against the ten "bad reporters" was much more severe. "As for the men whom Moses sent to spy out the land and who returned and made all the congregation grumble against him by bringing out a bad report concerning the land, even those men who brought out the very bad report of the land died by a plague before the Lord. But Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephunneh remained alive out of those men who went to spy out the land" (Numbers 14:36-38).

Thousands of people died in the desert because of the negative influence of ten men.

When God saw He was treated with contempt (see Numbers 14:22-23), He became very angry with the Israelites. Their disbelief in Him and their focus on their circumstances had caused them to offend God.

Caleb, on the other hand, had pleased God. "But my servant Caleb, because he has had a different spirit and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land which he entered, and his descendants shall take possession of it" (Numbers 14:24).

God is pleased with those who trust in Him. If He has shown you your promised land, then believe He will lead you into that promise. We need to take captive any thought, word, or report that would raise itself above what the Lord has declared to be true. If God says you can do it, then you will!

Warning Against Unbelief

God equals the sin of unbelief to that of rebellion (see Hebrews 3). I have never been sorry that I have trusted in God, even if what I have believed for has not happened. However, I have regretted not trusting in Him. Our unbelief hurts God, so much so that He refers to it as a hardened heart (see Hebrews 3:15).

"For who provoked Him when they had heard? Indeed, did not all those who came out of Egypt led by Moses? And with whom was He angry for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness? And to whom did He swear that they would not enter His rest, but to those who were disobedient? So we see that they were not able to enter because of unbelief" (Hebrews 3:16-19 emphasis mine).

Many of the children of Israel were unable to enter the Promised Land because of their unbelief. They saw the miracles God had previously performed, and heard the Word of God He spoke through His prophets. "But the word they heard did not profit them, because it was not united by faith in those who heard" (Hebrews 4:2). Their unbelief led to their disobedience to God; it caused them to sin.

God is honored by our faith in Him. He takes it very personally, and rightly so. If we truly have a personal relationship with Him, we would know Him as faithful and true (see Revelation 19:11).

Indeed, our faith in God is an element of our worship to Him. Do not let unbelief keep you from giving Him your heart completely and receiving ALL that He has for you.

Pray this with me:
Dear Father,
Forgive me for not trusting in You completely, and forgive me for my lack of faith and any discouraging words I have spoken. Help me to be an encouragement to Your people. I want You to be pleased with me, so help me to follow You with my whole heart.
In Jesus' name, Amen!

Change your life today. Accept where you are in life.

Yesterdays Spiritual Card was; Change your life today. You don't have to accept where you are in life.

What a striking card it was indeed!

Thys enlightened us that there is a other view as i.e. "we must be at peace with what we have in life at this stage of our lifes because for NOW that's where GOD placed you. He might move you to new areas tomorrow, but for today - thank Him in everything"

I am delighted at the responses that was forwarded i.e. I believe, God is working its way with us, getting us to live his word, I believe we are happy, we are thinking the living word day and night (Psalm 1: 1-2).

The theme of Thys response and the acceptance by some of us does indeed lead to praise of what Christ does give us each and every day. By chance again? ...No I do not believe this, GOD has once again given me something to tell.

Today my Spiritual Card is; Change your life today. Accept where you are in life.

Enjoy

How fast does the time go? its weekend again.

I pray that Jesus Christ is with you, together with Holy Spirit , to lead and give you a Christ like fulfilling weekend.

BLESS YOU

Heb 3:13-19 GW (13) Encourage each other every day while you have the opportunity. If you do this, none of you will be deceived by sin and become stubborn. (14) After all, we will remain Christ's partners only if we continue to hold on to our original confidence until the end. (15) Scripture says, "If you hear God speak today, don't be stubborn. Don't be stubborn like those who rebelled." (16) Who heard God and rebelled? All those whom Moses led out of Egypt rebelled. (17) With whom was God angry for 40 years? He was angry with those who sinned and died in the desert. (18) Who did God swear would never enter his place of rest? He was talking about those who didn't obey him. (19) So we see that they couldn't enter his place of rest because they didn't believe.

Wie is God? (Psalm 23)*

1. Die Here is my herder: *God wil ’n verhouding met jou bou.*
2. Niks sal my ontbreek nie: *God voorsien in elke situasie.*
3. Hy laat my neerlê in groen weivelde: *God bring rus te midde geraas.*
4. Na waters waar rus is lei Hy my heen: *God verkwik jou siel.*
5. Hy gee my nuwe krag: *God is die Geneser.*
9. Want U is met my: *God is getrou.*
10. U stok en u staf dié vertroos my: *God bring vertroosting in moeilike tye.*
11. U berei die tafel voor my aangesig teenoor my teenstanders: *God gee hoop.*
12. U maak my hoof vet met olie: *God stel belang in jou heiligmakingsproses.*
13. My beker loop oor: *God oortref jou verwagtinge.*

Wie is God vir jou?

Hierdie lysie is belangrik.

Amen.*

Change your life today. You don't have to accept where you are in life.

Positive Power Card; Change your life today. You don't have to accept where you are in life.

What a striking Power Card!?

If You are not a Believer?
Mar 1:14-15 GW
(14)
After John had been put in prison, Jesus went to Galilee and told people the Good News of God.
(15) He said, "The time has come, and the kingdom of God is near. Change the way you think and act, and believe the Good News."

If you want to Believe?
Rom 10:9-10 GW
(9) If you declare that Jesus is Lord, and believe that God brought him back to life, you will be saved.
(10) By believing you receive God's approval, and by declaring your faith you are saved.

If you do Believe?
Joh 10:27-28 GW
(27) My sheep respond to my voice, and I know who they are. They follow me,
(28) and I give them eternal life. They will never be lost, and no one will tear them away from me.

If you want to grow in Believe?
1Pe 2:6-12 GW
(6) That is why Scripture says, "I am laying a chosen and precious cornerstone in Zion, and the person who believes in him will never be ashamed."
(7) This honor belongs to those who believe. But to those who don't believe: "The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone,
(8) a stone that people trip over, a large rock that people find offensive." The people tripped over the word because they refused to believe it. Therefore, this is how they ended up.
(9) However, you are chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, people who belong to God. You were chosen to tell about the excellent qualities of God, who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
(10) Once you were not God's people, but now you are. Once you were not shown mercy, but now you have been shown mercy.
(11) Dear friends, since you are foreigners and temporary residents in the world, I'm encouraging you to keep away from the desires of your corrupt nature. These desires constantly attack you.
(12) Live decent lives among unbelievers. Then, although they ridicule you as if you were doing wrong while they are watching you do good things, they will praise God on the day he comes to help you.

Is it chance or did this card come up to remind me of me having declared my faith on 23rd February 2009? Exactly 5 months today.

Everyone knows their birth date. Do you remember your date haven been reborn through Jesus Christ, our Saviour? I, for one, is excited to be reminded; thank You Lord, for 5 glorious, enlightening months of faith!

I gave you above some scripts for different levels of faith (my view). Been confronted with questions, listening to the Holy Spirit, studing the living word; then to me it is a given that one should start to display the fruits of the Holy Spirit, globally taken together into one word; love!.

Last evening I attended our Homesel and the topic for the evening was about the meaning of "been reborn". The chances are that it will become necessary to be able to explain a people what it means to be reborn, how to become reborn, and how to remain true in faith. 2Co 5:17 Whoever is a believer in Christ is a new creation. The old way of living has disappeared. A new way of living has come into existence.

By declaring my faith I know now that I have become reborn with the identity of Jesus Christ, I have received the nature of Christ that will never be lost again. I have received the "incorruptible seed" of our Father. I am a child of our Father, when our Father looks at me, He sees Jesus Christ within me. I am in Christ and Christ is in Me. I have a new ID, I am reborn. (Also My knowledge obtained by attending a "Kruis Seminaar" )

Some of us are outspoken, some are happy with a personal relationship with GOD, some of us are destined to do more. Whatever the case, I believe we are all called to be a witness of the love of GOD Act 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes to you. Then you will be my witnesses to testify about me in Jerusalem, throughout Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

Father, I praise and thank you for an ID in Jesus Christ that we have received, not because we have earned it, but solely as result of your grace. I thank you for a new live, I thank you for the hope that will continuedly grow us in faith. I pray that we all today are directed according to your will, that we bear the fruits of love as we speak and walk the passages of Sanlam. I pray that we listen to the Holy Spirit within us and that by obedience to your voice, a child is today added to your Kingdom. This all I pray throug Jesus Christ, our Saviour. Amen

BLESS YOU!!!

No problem is worth brooding about, it is already solved, so pray and ask JESUS; He will answer.

Positive Power Card; The problem you are brooding about is already solved, so for goodness sake, ask for the answer

The questions we ask ourselves (and I believe that you have done so many times as well) are;
· Why do we Christians experience sufferings?
· Why does GOD allow this?
· Why should a Christian rejoice amidst trials?

I heard a broadcast from Radio Tygerberg, addressing exactly the issues irt sufferings and the spokesperson categorised sufferings as follows;
· Suffering keeps this world from becoming to attractive
· Suffering can bring out our best
· Suffering can silence the enemies of GOD
· Suffering makes us appreciative
· Suffering makes us depended on GOD
· Suffering helps to purify us
· Suffering makes us sympathetic
· Suffering teaches us to pray

I did start my own investigations into the Power Card, but found this broadcast appropriate and I give herewith my own shortened written version thereof.

GOD knew when he called us to his service, and true to his word, He does give us guidance how to deal with sufferings. It makes prefect sense in a imperfect world

Psalm 55:16-17 (New International Version)
16 But I call to God, and the LORD saves me. 17 Evening, morning and noon I cry out in distress, and he hears my voice.

My Spiritual translation is thus; No problem is worth brooding about, it is already solved, so pray and ask JESUS; He will answer.

BLESS YOU (Happy reading).

Suffering keeps this world from becoming to attractive
This world is not our home and GOD has prepared something better for us and if not for sufferings this word would stay attractive and no one will want to leave save for the promise of eternal life ; a city to come.
2 Cor 5: 1 & 5 1Now we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands. 5Now it is God who has made us for this very purpose and has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.

Suffering can bring out our best
A person will be tested when he faces his own vulnerabilities and subsequently when people struggle, a true Christian will constantly support his friends, give gift of foods and contribute money when people are struggling in their lives. We then learn to understand tribulations, which should develop character, possibly the reason why early Christians rejoiced in their trials.
Romans 5 : 3 – 4 Paul writes
3Not only so, but we[c] also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4perseverance, character; and character, hope.

Suffering can silence the enemies of GOD
During Jobs suffering, Job patience silences Satan and God does want us to silence foolish men! So many times when we thing we need to say a word, according to GOD’s word you need to say nothing, just be yourself. Our witness in the time of difficulties will speak louder to the hearts and souls of mankind than any word that we can utter.
1Pet 2: 15
15For it is God's will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish men.

Suffering makes us appreciative
We all receive so many good things in this life, and it is easy to take it for granted. What if there is no risk of loss? Suffering can make it appreciative of what we have in good health, good friends and loving family.

Paul was a prisoner bound. As a prisoner he preached and defended the gospel. The Philippians sympathized with him, prayed for him, and sustained him by their offerings, thus becoming partakers. They not only did this, but defended and suffered for the gospel.

Phil 1: 7-8 7It is right for me to feel this way about all of you, since I have you in my heart; for whether I am in chains or defending and confirming the gospel, all of you share in God's grace with me. 8God can testify how I long for all of you with the affection of Christ Jesus.

Suffering makes us depended on GOD
It is easy to become self sufficient in our own minds, but when doesn’t, and when you have done all that they can and it has become immediately and completely totally out of your hands, the you suddenly realize how much you are dependent on GOD
Act 17: 28
28'For in him we live and move and have our being.'

Suffering helps to purify us i.e. it is picture of purification
We benefit when we suffer and we benefit when things are tough, because we are trained by it
1 Peter 1 6-7 (Paul speaks of the purifying nature of suffering);
6 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 7These have come so that your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.
Hew 12: 11
11No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.

Suffering makes us sympathetic
Experiencing suffering allows us to better weep with those that weep and to understand when people are coming from when they are struggling in their darkest hours, when they are feeling very alone.
2 Cor 1: 3-4 (Paul wrote about the value of affection)
3Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.

Suffering teaches us to pray
We sometimes pray shallow prayers but in the midst of suffering we learn pray earnestly, perseveringly and with groaning that can not be uttered according to
Romans 28: 2
26In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.

God se liefde is onvoorwaardelik.

My dagstuk verwys; Liefde is lewe waarin ek aangehaal my spesifieke insig: God se liefde is onvoorwaardelik.

Wat GOD belowe gee Hy;
Wat Hy se, doen Hy!

So wat het GOD dus belowe / gese?

Eph 2:8-10 AOV
(8) Want uit genade is julle gered, deur die geloof, en dit nie uit julleself nie: dit is die gawe van God;

Rom 10:9-10 AOV
(9) As jy met jou mond die Here Jesus bely en met jou hart glo dat God Hom uit die dode opgewek het, sal jy gered word;

Bless YOU

2 Petrus 1: 3-4 3His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 4Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.

• Stap twee:
* Wees deugsaam. Doen die dinge wat God se hart blymaak. Moenie net weet wat reg is nie, doen dit ook.
* Doen soveel moontlik kennis op van God se Woord.
* Kry jou woedebuie en verkeerde begeertes onder beheer. Gee dit aan die Gees oor.
* Volhard heeltyd op God se regte pad, al is dit nie altyd maklik nie.
* Leef toegewyd aan God.
* Maak plekin jou hart vir ander gelowiges, asook vir mense wat nie die Here ken nie.
(2 Petrus 1:5-7) 5 For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; 6 and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; 7 and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love.

(2 Petrus 1:8) 8 For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Ek is van mening dat GOD werklikwaar met my besig is. Ek het al gewonder of verse ( buite konteks ) die regte ding is om aan te haal. So wat doen GOD?;
* Hy lei my op my pad om die Power Cards christelik te vertaal; ek leer verskriklik baie van Sy woord
* Wil jy weet van Liefde; I Korintiers 13
* Wil jy weet van geloof; Hebriers 11
* Wil jy weet van geloofsvolharding: 2 Petrus 1

In ons laaste sel byeenkoms het Danie Psalm 1 aangehaal;
1God blesses those people who refuse evil advice and won't follow sinners or join in sneering at God. 2Instead, the Law of the LORD makes them happy, and they think about it day and night.

Spesifiek dan het Danie se boodskap ( vers 2) my aangeraak - and they think about it day and night.

Mag julle ‘n Jesus naweek beleef!

Upon waking up in the morning, pray to GOD and thank Him for this amazing experience

Positive Power Card; Upon awaking in the morning, say a little thank you for this amazing experience.

Psalm 91 is about the assurance that a person will be protected from danger (verses 1 -13). In verses 14-16 God himself promises to keep his loyal follower safe.
Psa 91:1-16 GW
(1) Whoever lives under the shelter of the Most High will remain in the shadow of the Almighty.
(2) I will say to the LORD, "You are my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust."
(3) He is the one who will rescue you from hunters' traps and from deadly plagues.
(4) He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge. His truth is your shield and armor.
(5) You do not need to fear terrors of the night, arrows that fly during the day,
(6) plagues that roam the dark, epidemics that strike at noon.
(7) They will not come near you, even though a thousand may fall dead beside you or ten thousand at your right side.
(8) You only have to look with your eyes to see the punishment of wicked people.
(9) You, O LORD, are my refuge! You have made the Most High your home.
(10) No harm will come to you. No sickness will come near your house.
(11) He will put his angels in charge of you to protect you in all your ways.
(12) They will carry you in their hands so that you never hit your foot against a rock.
(13) You will step on lions and cobras. You will trample young lions and snakes.
(14) Because you love me, I will rescue you. I will protect you because you know my name.
(15) When you call to me, I will answer you. I will be with you when you are in trouble. I will save you and honor you.
(16) I will satisfy you with a long life. I will show you how I will save you.

So what to do?
A short prayer asking the Jesus Christ for his protection over you and your family will do it!Mar 11:24 That's why I tell you to have faith that you have already received whatever you pray for, and it will be yours.

This is indeed one Power card, I can could have directly translate into a Spiritual Card! Slightly amended however, this is what I try to remember to do each morning; Upon waking up in the morning, pray to GOD and thank Him for this amazing experience,

And if I forget to, I will just do it when a later when I remember in the day that I have not! Psalm 1: 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night.

I pray for the Holy Spirit to fill your mind each day with the love and blessing given to you free by the grace of GOD.

Heb 11:6 No one can please God without faith. Whoever goes to God must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

Liefde is Lewe

Hi almal,

Andre

1 Cor 13: 4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

Gal 5: 16 -24
Life by the Spirit
16
So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. 17 For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law. 19 The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.

Andre noem twee belangrike griekse definisies van liefde;
Eros; aangetrokkenheids liefde,
Agape; absolute, vanaf GOD liefde

Eros liefde is;
gebaseer op Persoonlike gevoelens
gemotiveer deur Eie ek
afhanklik van Performance v/d ander party
voorwaardelik

vs.

Agape liefde wat;
gebaseer op 'n keuse tot Jesus
gemotiveer is deur die gee van liefde
afhanklik is van die karakter van GOD
onvoorwaardelik is

There are several Greek words for love, as the Greek language distinguishes how the word Ancient Greek has distinct words for love, the senses in which these words were generally used are given below.
Agapç (áãÜðç agápç) means "love" in modern day Greek, such as in the term s'agapo (Ó'áãáðþ), which means "I love you." In Ancient Greek, it often refers to a general affection rather than the attraction suggested by "eros." Agape is used in ancient texts to denote feelings for a good meal, one's children, and the feelings for a spouse. It can be described as the feeling of being content or holding one in high regard. This then the absolute love of GOD according to Andre.
Eros (love) (åñùò érôs) is passionate love, with sensual desire and longing. The Modern Greek word "erotas" means "(romantic) love;" however, eros does not have to be sexual in nature. Eros can be interpreted as a love for someone whom you love more than the philia, love of friendship. It can also apply to dating relationships as well as marriage. Plato refined his own definition: Although eros is initially felt for a person, with contemplation it becomes an appreciation of the beauty within that person, or even becomes appreciation of beauty itself. It should be noted Plato does not talk of physical attraction as a necessary part of love, hence the use of the word platonic to mean, "without physical attraction." Plato also said eros helps the soul recall knowledge of beauty, and contributes to an understanding of spiritual truth. Lovers and philosophers are all inspired to seek truth by eros. The most famous ancient work on the subject of eros is Plato's Symposium, which is a discussion among the students of Socrates on the nature of eros. This then the "love your neighbor as you love yourself" according to Andre.
Philia (öéëßá philia) means friendship in modern Greek. It is a dispassionate virtuous love, a concept developed by Aristotle. It includes loyalty to friends, family, and community, and requires virtue, equality and familiarity. In ancient texts, philos denoted a general type of love, used for love between family, between friends, a desire or enjoyment of an activity, as well as between lovers. This then "like" your neighbor (which is not love) according to Andre.

1 Cor 13: 5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered
Refer also;Psalm 103: 8 The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. Wees geduldig met mekaar

1 Cor 13: 5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs
Refer also; Psalm 108: 9-12 9 He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever; 10 he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. 11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; 12 as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. Verwyte bring skeuring

1 Cor 13: 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Deur GOD is daar altyd ‘n oplossing

1 Cor 13: 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Vasbyt!

Ds. Willem het per vorige geleenheid sy siening van liefde gegee wat vir my ook van veel waarde is; ‘Liefde is vir die man om ALTYD te doen wat die vrou wil he & liefde is vir die vrou om ALTYD te doen wat die man wil he" Nie so maklik nie, ek probeer hard!!

Treffend vir my uit hierdie preek was; Liefde is onvoorwaardelik! Dink 'n bietjie hieraan.

Storm

Maybe some of you also watch the "sepies". In "Days of our lives"; Storm, after struggling with his sister, Katie, accidentally shot her. Her heart was damaged and she had medically only hours to live. Storm, previously involved in also shooting Stephanie, was devastated by what he had done to his "baby sister". Medically, only a heart transplant could save Katie, and all of this then caused Storm to take his own live i.e. shoot himself. Last night’s episode ended at this point.

What I had seen was Storm reflecting on his childhood experiences with his sisters, looking at photo’s of his sisters, and a photo of Katie in his hand when Stom was found after shooting himself. Storm has also written a letter presumably setting out his reason for suicide i.e. to make available his heart for transplant to Katie.

What I had experienced; is a short moment of the emotions that Strom "has felt". I am not considering taking my life, but can you imagine been put into a position that he was? Can you imagine the thought of dying in a few minutes?

By Eliza Woes;

Yesterday I heard and forgot, today I see and I remember, forever I will do and understand.

Positive Power Card; I hear and forget, I see and I remember, I do and I understand.

This above quote appears to be quite popular on the internet. Previous attempts to unearth the true origin have yielded 'Confusious', 'Some ancient Greek' or an ancient chinese proverb.

There is however nothing confusing about James 1 ("Testing of your faith") This chapter is all about the trails that one can expect, trials that we should experience to be spiritual , enduring, as "complete joy" through the Lord, who is sovereign over all things, including trials.

Jas 1:2-8 GW
(2) My brothers and sisters, be very happy when you are tested in different ways.
(3) You know that such testing of your faith produces endurance.
(4) Endure until your testing is over. Then you will be mature and complete, and you won't need anything.
(5) If any of you needs wisdom to know what you should do, you should ask God, and he will give it to you. God is generous to everyone and doesn't find fault with them.
(6) When you ask for something, don't have any doubts. A person who has doubts is like a wave that is blown by the wind and tossed by the sea.
(7) A person who has doubts shouldn't expect to receive anything from the Lord.
(8) A person who has doubts is thinking about two different things at the same time and can't make up his mind about anything.

We should know that;
Heb 4:12 God's word is living and active. It is sharper than any two-edged sword and cuts as deep as the place where soul and spirit meet, the place where joints and marrow meet. God's word judges a person's thoughts and intentions.

We should listen to GOD's word;
Jas 1:23-25 GW
(23)
If someone listens to God's word but doesn't do what it says, he is like a person who looks at his face in a mirror,
(24) studies his features, goes away, and immediately forgets what he looks like.
(25) However, the person who continues to study God's perfect teachings that make people free and who remains committed to them will be blessed. People like that don't merely listen and forget; they actually do what God's teachings say.

Lets read these verses again. This time notice my additional words in bold. Read the word in bold in order and you have today's Positive Power Card!

Jas 1:23-25 GW
(23) If someone listens to God's word (I hear) but doesn't do what it says, he is like a person who looks at his face in a mirror, (and)
(24) studies his features, goes away, and immediately forgets what he looks like. ( I forget)
(25) However (I see, and) , the person who continues to study God's perfect teachings that make people free and who remains committed to them will be blessed. People like that don't merely listen and forget (I remember); they actually do what God's teachings say. (I do and understand)

Is'nt this awesome, again!?

Translated, my spiritual card reads then as follows; Yesterday I heard and forgot, today I see and I remember, forever I will do and understand.

Bless You

Wednesday 1 July 2009

Every day the self within you will be the most thrilling Trinity you will continue to meet.

Positive Power Card; Today the self within you will be the most thrilling being you will ever meet.

Reflect this;
Be faithful, add integrity to what to you do and think, grow in the knowledge of the living word, control yourself always and listen to the Holy Spirit, persist (endure) in what you now believe, excel (pursue godliness) in believe, be compassionate (have Christian affection) and most of all; love GOD and love your neighbor!

2Pe 1:3-8 GW
(3) God's divine power has given us everything we need for life and for godliness. This power was given to us through knowledge of the one who called us by his own glory and integrity.
(4) Through his glory and integrity he has given us his promises that are of the highest value. Through these promises you will share in the divine nature because you have escaped the corruption that sinful desires cause in the world.
(5) Because of this, make every effort to add integrity to your faith; and to integrity add knowledge;
(6) to knowledge add self-control; to self-control add endurance; to endurance add godliness;
(7) to godliness add Christian affection; and to Christian affection add love.
(8) If you have these qualities and they are increasing, it demonstrates that your knowledge about our Lord Jesus Christ is living and productive.

Will this change you? Mat 6:21 Your heart will be where your treasure is.
Will this enlighten you? Mat 6:22 "The eye is the lamp of the body. So if your eye is unclouded, your whole body will be full of light.
Will this make you a different person? Mat 6:24 "No one can serve two masters. He will hate the first master and love the second, or he will be devoted to the first and despise the second. You cannot serve God and wealth. Mat 6:33 But first, be concerned about his kingdom and what has his approval. Then all these things will be provided for you.

Yes, Yes, Yes = You, Yourself, the self within You!!!
Yes, Yes, Yes = You in Jesus Christ!!!
Yes, Yes, Yes = Jesus Christ in You!!!!
Yes, Yes, Yes = God, Jesus Christ, The Holy Spirit!!!
Yes, Yes, Yes = the most thrilling Trinity (being) You will ever meet!!!!

Is God not an awesome GOD!? Every day I find an spiritual answer from his living word! Even now as I type this sentence , I am directed at showing you the related text; Awesome!!!!!

2Ti 3:16 GW (16) Every Scripture passage is inspired by God. All of them are useful for teaching, pointing out errors, correcting people, and training them for a life that has God's approval.

Translated, my spiritual card reads then as follows; Every day the self within you will be the most thrilling Trinity you will continue to meet.

Bless You
